Bulletpoint
Are units suppressed by shots hitting neighbouring action squares? If you want to suppress a whole hedgerow, 20 squares long, do you need to target each of those squares individually at the same time?

In the case of MGs at least, they spray adjacent ASs as well as the one they are targeting with area fire. So in the case of your hedgerow, you just need to target every third one. It might be a good idea to have an MG for each AS you are targeting though, otherwise the opposing troops might have too much time to recover from suppression and cause you problems. Lanzfeld
Also, bullets hitting near your troops suppress.

Bulletpoint
If suppression is more effective in the targeted square, this would seem to imply that for most efficient results, target every second square.
