gerzald
Does any body know what ever became of the designer of The Russian Campaign. the Australian John Edwards? I found this, but not much else, no Wikipedia page, really? http://www.c3iopscenter.com/documents/F%20and%20M%20Interview%20John%20Edwards.pdf
Mace
Well he is on facebook https://www.facebook.com/john.r.edwards.376 Send him a friend invite and let us know how ya go. Jedko games, the company he founded, is still going and still listed at the address they occupied back in the 70s. They however seem to import more generic types of games now rather than publish military boardgames...how sad.
gerzald
I sent the friend request, does not look his page has had any activity for the past two years. He would be 73 now. I am interested in him because back in the late 70's I stopped by the hobby house and was looking at some games, especially one called Africa Corps. I had not seen a military game before. I opened the box and there was a map with hexagons on it! And counters with military symbols! I bought the game a had my little brother play with me. I still remember opening that box, vividly today. Bit of a mystery how a game designer who won wargame game of the year and had some follow up hits could not have a Wikipedia page, have no web presence at all, no articles, interviews, nothing! Going to follow some more leads, perhaps Fire and Movement has something.
Mace
Great games...nothing too complicated and you could bash them over in an afternoon or two.

FE got thrashed so hard that I had to make some replacement units. As I recall, 12th SS PzDiv was one that was especially hard hit in terms of wear and tear. I'm pretty sure I still have them around, somewhere.
Mace
The Russian Campaign was my first Jedko game. I still have a copy under the bed.

Barrold
right next to that mint condition collectors edition of Playboy, with Marilyn Monroe on the cover? More like a copy of Screenplay with Mae West on the cover.
Michael Emrys
More like a copy of Screenplay with Mae West on the cover. More likely a copy of True Crime with a gagged and disheveled blonde in a torn nighty tied into a chair on the cover. We know what Mace really likes.
