I played the first one a lot, but moved on when I got a new video card, all the other games had lighting effects, shadows... Call me a GW go ahead. Like the bigger maps, and the triggers. when can I play it?

Playing Age of Wonders 3 now, helps me not to think obsessively about RT, I gave my elves muskets, they are crack shots.

I sent the friend request, does not look his page has had any activity for the past two years. He would be 73 now. I am interested in him because back in the late 70's I stopped by the hobby house and was looking at some games, especially one called Africa Corps. I had not seen a military game before. I opened the box and there was a map with hexagons on it! And counters with military symbols! I bought the game a had my little brother play with me. I still remember opening that box, vividly today. Bit of a mystery how a game designer who won wargame game of the year and had some follow up hits could not have a Wikipedia page, have no web presence at all, no articles, interviews, nothing! Going to follow some more leads, perhaps Fire and Movement has something.

Haven't played FTL, we do have a five player Sword of the Stars 2 weekly Lan Party game going right now, the general war has just started, lost two fleets going into the Gorn system. Did I say Gorn? The reptile folks I guess. Its fairly stable now, we haven't had a crash yet, turn 170, big map. Its not a good SP, game, AI useless, but MP Lan rocks. Still slow optimization though. Also kind of in a late beta stage still, if only they had the staffing and funding to get it done right. The Lan Party helps me forget RT for a few hours a week, the rest of the time I wait...

If this was the royal court of King Luey 5 my Battle Front forum career would be over before it had scarcely started. At least some person is reading my post who has a modicum of comprehension, and an eye for proper spelling. And a dagger of droll at the ready.

The funny thing is... for years their costumers have been begging on the forums for a single player pause feature in the single player game. all to no avail. It boggles the mind that a small simple feature that the fans want, and would take a few hours to program, would not be given. Yes, it would make the human player some what more effective, but still... Anyway, such arrogance and disregard for the wishes of the costumers is shocking in this era of company's bending over backward to be all things to all players. I myself am over 50, and my twitch ability is waning, can not do real time any more with out a slow down or pause feature. Therefore No more money in that companies direction.

I really liked the graphics, and I really wanted to pause the game and zoom in on the town that was getting hit by my rocket barrage and view the devastation, but the game would not let me pause, even in single player. Why do they not let one pause in single player? Because the game is made by the French. And the French are @*# %*#&s. See? Some times there are simple explanations for head scratching mind vexing problems.
