Pewpewchewchew
Hi folks, Intro I'm PPCC, host of the PPCC Strategy games channel on YouTube, and I'm here today to announce a CMFI & CMBN casted Tournament. The main goal here is to get the war gaming community involved playing a game that is exciting to watch and fun to play for both new players and veterans of the series. We'll be hosting a two tiered Tournament, with one veteran bracket and one community bracket. This thread will be an early sign up announcement, really meant to gauge the amount of people interested and to size up the brackets. At to moment, I'm still working out the exact details, house rules ,prizes, casting, accessibility. If you'd like to help organize or sponsor a prize, send me a PM. If you're interested in signing up, please check out the info below, sign up for a Bracket that you feel comfortable with. Veterans Bracket - One for both games • Eight Player Capacity - Is subject to change depending on demand • This bracket will assume that the game of your choosing with all expansions EG. CMFI + GL / CMBN + CW + 2.0 • Sign up here if you would like challenging battles with other experienced players • Battle sizes are up to the players though rarity is on strict. • Two weeks per match Community Bracket One for CMFI and Another for CMBN • Sixteen Player Capacity - Again subject to demand • You must have the basegame and the 2.0 patch if you're playing CMBN • If you do have the basegame but not the 2.0 patch in the case of CMBN contact me I'll see what we can do. • This bracket is for everyone who is interested in playing CMx2 multiplayer. • If you would like to send me a PM regarding how well experienced you feel playing the wargames on a scale of 0-10. We'll try to set up games accordingly. • Small sized battles / Rarity on normal • One week per match Both Brackets • These are the conditions that apply to both Brackets for both games. Do note that you may only sign up for one game & bracket. • We'll be using PBEM play • Hour long battles • Meeting engagement or Attack - talk this over with your opponent. • Matches do not need to be Allies vs Axis. Play with what you're comfortable with. • You may have a player to be your second in the event that you are unable to play a match during the tournament. This person may not sign up for the tournament. Battle casts I will be casting a few matches, these are optional excluding the final matches. If both players are fine with their matches being casted, send me a PM when the time comes. Important Dates • These are subject to change • September 6th - Registration closed • September 8th - Match pairings are issued

Pewpewchewchew
We'll we can scale down the time to 45 minutes or 30 minutes depending on preference, though the time frame for finishing a match needs to stay the same. I can't really drag this thing out for too long.
A Canadian Cat
Two weeks for an hour long match, don't know about that.. Yep, that would likely not be possible. I know I am slow but I really don't think that an hour long battle will fit in two weeks let alone one week. An hour long battle is 61 turns for a two week game that would be 4 1/3 turns per day and for a one week battle nearly 9 turns per day. If you want to keep the tournament moving then I suggest small battles that are 30 min long and give one month for each battle. I am interested in the tournament - as long as the time limit is set to something reasonable.
Ithikial_AU
Looks interesting but can't commit due to the time frames. 1 or 2 weeks per round of PBEM is certainly doable but when time zones come into play it becomes impossible. Being on the other side of the world sucks.
