Erwin
In CM1 crews were valuable to keep alive and had poor spotting capabilities to prevent them being used as scouts. Any idea if the same is true in CM2?
George MC
Yup they still count as points IF the designer has allocated the vehicle they are crew off as an objective.
Childress
Huh, George? Crews with good morale and binocs should make decent scouts. They often dismounted and performed some recon. But usually, istr, the commander only.
womble
To combine and hopefully clarify the two posts above... CMx2 crews aren't gimped in their dismounted spotting abilities, so they are of use as scouts, even after their vehicle is disabled. They count as part of the "destroy" objective if the vehicle is part of a group that is designated as a "destroy" victory condition, so using them as scouts potentially risks handing points to your opponent. Generally, though, I find that you will already have adequate "spare" eyes so that you don't really need to use unhorsed crews for recon. They make good medics though, if you're advancing.
