John Kettler
I was trying to find the famous all battles, junction of two maps, uphill, in the rain, but found this first. Some may find it droll, some spot on, others may wince. A wonderful read, notably, the former French paratroop unit acronym! http://www.angelfire.com/art/enchanter/murphy.html Regards, John Kettler
Kanonier Reichmann
I especially liked this one. It's now incorporated into my signature. Regards KR

John Kettler
KR and costard, Glad you're enjoying them! Years ago, when my brother, George, was in Scouts in the 2/11 ACR in the Fulda Gap, he clued me in about DATs and CDATs, the latter being Computerized DATs (M1 Abrams). He also explained why the Scouts called infantry crunchies. Suffice it to say that AFVs relocating at night and guys on the ground in sleeping bags at NTC don't mix. Dad was a Navy man during the Korean War, and he taught me the Navy adage: "If it moves, salute it. If it doesn't move, polish it. If it doesn't move and you can't polish it, paint it." Also: "There's the right way, the wrong way, and the Navy way. Regards, John Kettler
Michael Emrys
I'm rather fond of this one: "If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried." Michael
