Hilts
What's the point of a 360 degree target arc? I had a half squad concealed in a building facing outwards but with a 360 cover arc of about 10 metres radius. I assumed this would prevent the squad shooting out of the building and giving their position away but that they would attack any enemies entering the building, within the 10m radius. WRONG! An uber enemy tank crew simply strolled in and took out my squad with pistol shots to the back of the head without my guys even firing a shot. Anybody got any tips as to how to prevent this from happening again?....
zukkov
i think there's still spotting issues in the game engine. by the way, is your name taken from steve mcqueen's character in the great escape?
womble
Spotting in buildings is a very iffy proposition. For a start, your element probably formed up looking out the building in the way they were facing when they moved into it. They don't see so well behind themselves as the moving element does in front of themselves. My tip for stopping it happening again would be to split your squad and have some of it acting as rear security in a different Action Spot, so outside the building, or from the "rear" (relative to your main intentions) of an upper storey.
A Canadian Cat
That sounds like a good idea.
