xian Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 A bright flash of light, followed almost instantaneously by a deafening cracking sound! There was a big storm overhead. I then heard a crackle coming from the direction of my iMac, and I turned to see blue arcs of electricity crawl over the display! Oh no - it's all over I thought - burnt out chips, scrambled hard drive - there goes everything. Well - I guess I got lucky. Apart from the OS needing to repair itself, all seems okay.
