Just firing yes, but: - left-handed holsters may or may not have been issued in WWII. I have never seen one, but never looked either. - reloading a standard revolver 'lefty' is slower (not really an issue in regular combat) - your trigger finger gets in the way emptying and recharging the cylinder. Having said that, Webleys are top-break with auto extraction, so not an issue. - manipulating a pistol (safety, slide lock, mag release) "lefty" is awkward and may require two hands instead of one depending on the gun and level of training. 1911 isn't awful with some practice.
