    Steve/theCapt originally said they were aiming for a 2023 release, so hopefully that means atleast a first half of 2024 release I'm personally hoping that Steves bones part 2 post will be the initial screenshots for BAOR and a confirmation of what the Soviets will be getting (not expecting a release date at this stage though, just want some eye candy)

    Ambushing is doctrinally an offensive action, it can be carried out in the support of a wider defence objective but so can any other offensive action (spoiling attack for example)

    I think a big reason for them going as far as 82 is once Abrams and Bradley come online in significant numbers that was pretty much the end of the danger zone. It's really interesting playing through the campaigns and seeing the different between 79 and 82, what a difference 3 years makes

    I think that depends on the tank but most tanks in the late 80's would probably still benefit from commander out Many of the fancier optics would have only been for gunners sights and dual sights didn't become standard until the 00's
