Shock Force has always been just a substitute for the real thing.
Shock force was an April fools joke compared to CMCW.

I am surprised you managed to boot the game on an Intel card.
I also have a laptop with an Intel HD620, and the fact how well this game runs on this very very low end card shows how outdated the graphics is.

There's always runners and so on - a fire mission in these circumstances is going to take a while...
In this case they have a rather fast runner since it only takes 1 min longer (takes 6 for them) to call than an FO with a radio (who can call it in 5)

It is generic the Eastern Front had more field telephones operating or they work with flares.
Flares are out of the question: it was not a preplanned position and you cannot transfer coordinates or adjusments with flares.
Field phones would work in an abstract way, but in this case they would have comms with the company CO.

In CMRT apparently a platoon HQ can call for mortar fire without a radio. You can see on the picture that he doesn't have comms to the company HQ because of the lack of communication tools. How is this possible?

I am interested in joining the RED side as a sub commander

Ctrl + click + position 1 and you are anywhere on the map.
Double click works as well.

I would love to see the auto cannon on IFV and reconnaissance vehicle can engage attack helicopter
I would love to see Soviet T tanks engage helicopters with their ATGMs as was designed to do so.

This is all handled by Slitherine, so you will likely have to reach out on their forums to get a different image.
Thanks!

thermal sights can "see" through smoke.
Depends on the smoke, I don't know about this era though.

The most significant features of the T-80 over the T-72 are its gas turbine engine and ability to fire anti-tank guided missiles (T-80B and later variants) in the same manner as ordinary rounds.
IMHO the most significant feature of the T-80B compared to the 72 is the more advanced fire control system.
"Unlike the rather outdated 1A40-1 fire control system used in the T-72B, the 1G43 features fully automatic lead calculation and automatic gun superelevation. What this means is that the aiming chevron at the center of the sight picture remains static as the FCS adjusts the elevation to account for ballistic drop and adjusts the orientation of the turret to account for lead. The sight is not displaced sideways as the gun is adjusted for lead, thanks to the 2-axis stabilizer in the 1G42 - the horizontal stabilizer rotates the sight aperture to compensate for the shifted orientation of the turret, thus allowing the gunner to maintain an unchanged view of the target."

so we can stick to the original method ?
Nobody forces you to use steam. If you pre-order you will get the usual serial code.

genuine question here, if we pre order, i saw something about a steam key being sent etc, what if we'd prefer not to have steam key?
You have to pick up your Steam key manually on Slitherine/Matrix store, nothing is going to sent to you.
Pre-orders for Fire and Rubble are now open!!
