  1. Aloha! The news of the SF2 update (and a demo) has awakened my inner Battlefront refresh monkey. The advent of smart phones and mobile data means you can easily check if that demo is out yet 8,640 times per day! But I digress. Anyone able to confirm or deny if SF2 allows my BGM-71 pixel-troopers to bail on their ball-and-chain launcher once they send all their missiles down range? I know it's not the biggest issue on the block but curious if it got an update? Ref: PS - and thanks to the BF team for still being here today, so many years on, making these incredibly boutique products in the current game development environment.
  2. Outstanding! Jumbos, Jagdtigers, and Brummbärs, Oh MY! A new CMx2 title chock full of all the fun toys one pixel-truppen commander can cram into a ridiculously historically inaccurate QB! While I don't haunt these forums much and I may be ignorantly hoping that a new CMx3 system is on the way at some point, I'm grateful there is a group of developers still working on new CMx2 based content in such Theatres of WW2. And how fast did your credit card fly out of your wallet when you saw the game released on the Battlefront website? (after checking every 15 minutes for weeks) Sadly my 3rd world internet means I'm waiting 2 more hours to answer the big BIG burning question. Will Lt. Stahler be transfered from the Eastern Front and into our pixel-chain-of-command? ??
  3. Ha! At least now Lt. Stahler doesn't have to take orders from a 6+1. A well deserved field demotion. Just thinking about what box and what closet in what location in what country my old Stahler 9-2 chit is smiling in? Outstanding!
  4. Wow! Even during the "planning phase" of a turn? That is so painful and dare I say silly? So since the inception of CMx2 this has never been identified and fixed?
  5. Howdy, Question. After you spend about 25 minutes setting up a turn and you decide you DON'T want that javelin with the team you gave it to, but saved for another team later, how do you put it back? In this case I'm asking about putting gear and ammo back before you press the go button. Outstanding, thanks.
  6. I think that was before T-90AMs could fire airburst 125mm shells. I'd hope the supply SGT would be more understanding now?
  7. ? When your TOW ATGM is out of ammo and you are being overrun by overwhelming force you can either: (1) leave your TOW ATGM behind, or (2) leave your dead bodies and your TOW ATGM behind. And Womble, I was looking for a "bail out" command but didn't see any. Will test it again.
  8. Anyone aware of how to release my poor pixeltruppen of their useless crew-served weapons when they are out of ammo. Like the TOW? Poor TOW team fires off it's missiles - only to have APS equipped tanks punish them - and when it's ammo over and time to run away they seem to have to hold position for 6 minutes (6 seconds would be bad enough) to pack-up their big kit before they can run (slowly). I'd like them alive, if only for eyes elsewhere and a few small-arms. Must be missing a command?

  10. Hmmm . . . Should I be seeing hit decals under similar conditions to CMRT? I understand the long rod penetrators punch a tiny hole compared to an 88mm - but I'm just not seeing them often, where I expect them? For example I spent 20 minutes shooting everything up at the range with a wide range of weapons. The only hit decals I see anywhere are 30mm "dents" in the side of a T-72 turret. Killed T-72's with RPG's = no decal (expecting HEAT "splatter" decal?) Smashed up side of a BMP with 30mm = no decals (but maybe BMP-3's don't "dent"? Ceramic? AP rounds through turrets of BMP's = no decals, expecting small hole at least? I have found that hit-decals are one of the most important things that have raised the immersion and "story" of CM games - but first impression is that it feels "missing" in CMBS? EDIT // BTW - have tried toggle graphics settings like shaders.
