  1. If anyone out there is still in possession of the mod for BMP 1210 that lets you see 'cover' craters vs 'non-cover' craters, please e-mail it to me. I lost it in the HD crash.
  2. I've wondered the same thing myself. Maybe it is the same mentality we have on the hockey bench - hardly any one uses the doors during the fast line changes and you know you're a big boy when you are tall enough to go over the boards and don't need to use that door...which is for wussies! It's more efficient to go over the side instead of having to go through the door one after t'other. Seriously, though, maybe they're worried about getting whacked by someone who has circled around behind and pops them all like fish in a barrel. Or, it's just a limit of the graphics.
  3. I had two mortar crewmen from two different teams wander off towards the enemy, never to be seen again. It took me a few minutes to notice the flustercluck. They seemed to get left in limbo during PBEM WEGO while they all tried to load into the same truck. I thought perhaps I had overloaded the truck and broken the TacAI's brani.
  4. Something I have noticed with Move is that the infantry do tend to treat it as the old AFV Hunt command, stopping to fire at targets as the Tac AI sees fit and then proceeding with the movement. They usually just keep hustling on Quick, regardless of target opportunities.
  5. Hunt does do the same thing but I think Move to Contact didn't tire out the guys as quickly.
  6. Yes and no. I just looked into what you stated and it is true for the PIAT and 2" mortar, but there is no acquirable Bren. The third one does have extra Bren ammo and it seems to me they jerry rigged a work-around by assigning inherent Brens to the Scout sections. As Ian Leslie can attest to, this makes them nasty once both the passenger and bow-mounted Brens get going. I have not looked into whether you can do similar things with the MGs that were meant to be removed from halftracks (e.g. the German SPW 251/sMG). All this is based on my experience playing ASL and its Chapter H notes.
  7. I've been using 1.5.3 since the summer after joining in the Blitz's 'In the Shadow of the Hill' tournament. Marvelous stuff. The only question I have so far is what all the ittle icons mean. I have not been able to find an index for them. The open Dropbox I get, same with the It Is Your Turn exclamation pint. I think the little running dude means there is a chat message. But some of them I can't suss out.
  8. John, Thanks for the response, but there is no need to 'welcome' me...although 'welcome back' could be appropriate. My old 'WBRP' profile somehow got scrapped a few years back and I could not get the BFC lads to revive it. Up until now I really didn't have much to say that hadn't been said by others, but this Bren Carrier thing flipped my switch. It's good to be back officially in the web fray, even if I am erroneously labelled as 'Junior'.
  9. It did not occur to me to try until last night and I could not get the driver nor a passenger to remove/acquire the Bren from the Bren Carrier...which I found odd because I thought it was mainly supposed to function as a way to shuttle the Bren on the battlefield but have it used from a dismounted firing position, yes?
