  1. The enemy force has occupied Hill 252 "Cherry Point." The time has come to test the offensive capability of the United States newly formed Syrian Liberation Army (SLA). The 13th MEU, 1rst BLT, Fox Company is to protect the SLA left flank and stop the enemy from reinforcing. The SLA are new to this type of operation - hence the nickname "Cherry Point." Test them, gentlemen. This is a US force/Syrian Force vs, Syrian Force scenario. It is best played as blue in real time (2 hour time limit - a little long for turn based).   2. This is a slightly modified version of the original Combat Mission: Shock Force Marines campaign "Semper Fi, Syria!". The modifications fix known problems with scoring in the scenario "Afternoon Delight" in particular, but do not offer new functionality to the campaign itself.InstallationTo install simply extract the RAR archive you have downloaded and replace the existing copy of Semper Fi Syria.cam in the "Campaigns" folder of CM:SF's "Game Files" directory.Starting the Campaign from the beginningFor players who have not yet started the Marines Campaign simply start it normally after installing the new file.Continuing the Campaign from a save gameStarting with v1.20 (current version is v1.21) there is no need to restart the Campaign if you have already started. Simply following these steps to continue playing with the updated Campaign file:1. Using v1.20 or later, save your current campaign between battles from the point just after you dismiss the end-of-battle screen. Importing will not work for saves made at any other point.2. From the main intro screen, start a New Campaign, and select the updated version of the campaign you want to use. HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY as you click the OK button.3. Immediately an "import" screen will appear. You'll see your saved game here. Select it, click OK, and then things proceed as normal.

No problems reported the AO has been calm this last month.About Defend Jsir Al Doreaa 1st dream.This scenario has been thought about, after reading the book « The defense of Jisr Al Doreaa » from Michael L.Burgoyne & Albert J.Marckwardt both captain in the US Army and having fought in Irak within the 7th US Cavalry. The book contains their recollection of things done between 2003 and 2008. Following the step of the well know small classic Boer war book “The Defence of Duffer’s drift” written by the then Captain Ernest D; Swinton . Like him, they are putting you in the boots of a freshly graduated 2nd Lieutenant, just out of Basic Officers Course, arriving in Irak.   4. East Rising - Scenario 1 - Surprise Attack (Note: LARGE/Long Scenario)04 July, 2010. U.S.Army/U.S. Marine Corp. Armor Resupply & Repair Depot. 0120 hours.Knocking you out of your bunk, the nearby explosion blew out windows sending shards of glass every where. As your hearing started to return over the high pitched ringing sound in your ears, you could start to make out the sound of mens screams as well as hurriedly shouted voices on the edge of panic. You know of no intel nor of any current threat assessment that would have led to an attack, if that is what this was. Yet now with the sound of incoming rounds and the increasing number of impacts nearby, you realize that the base is indeed under a full scale artillery bombardment normally preceeding a major assault.This massive artillery barrage is to accurate to be a small thrust and best guess scenario. You have no doubt your base and the surrounding areas have been infiltrated by Special Forces, both combat units and artillery spotter units. You know you will need to take them out quickly to reduce additional direct artillery barrages. You only wonder now, how many units and personnel you have and are loosing in this massive first strike. (note: Massive artillery barrage at very start of scenario will slow your system down initially, have patience)

  6. This background mod seeks to simulate the chaos of the battlefield with the shouting of orders, cussing and actual sounds of combat mixed for a higher rate of immersion. I've sprinkled a smattering of radio comms throughout for those who like it. For those who don't check out the vanilla version of this mod. I kinda consider this one a work in progress and will probably return to it at a later date.NOTE: As the title states this is a US centric mod best used with the Army or Marines.
