  1. Hi, 10-14 days from product announcement I believe. It appears that the metal case edition is now sold out. BF main page. Maybe that is why I hadn't had a response to the thread from anybody at BF. Must have been a huge pre order and mad rush to purchase on release as the metal case was advertised on day of release. Oh hum, I've contacted them to see if my order made it in time but I'm not being too optimistic. Better to fear the worst, anything else is a bonus. Cheers
  2. Nah, they don't like the inlaws either. Cheers
  3. She did. Another boring afternoon looking at holiday photos of some place I can't even remember the name of. This is us in front of..... zzzz. Here's another picture of a hill with a ruin on top. All I could think of was how would I assault/defend that. Ah well, next weekend is all my own. Cheers
  4. Thanks Mord, I sat on the fence so long about buying this due to the customs fees that I have indentations. I feel that cold getting a bit worse. Sorry dear, can't visit the outlaws today in case I infect them. cough, cough. Damn man flu!! Cheers
  5. Bump before it gets lost in the Italian retreat. Just kidding. Only army to be sponsored by Nike. Just kidding again, no offense intended. Hi, Lack of response from BF!!! Could this mean all metal tins have been sold out. Where is that gun? Cheers.
  6. Hi, Well I decided against all my principals of customs and post office extortion to run the risk and buy the DVD and download. After thinking about it for long enough I decided I really wanted the case and manual. Should have decided a couple of days earlier and saved myself $10. DOH!!!!. Anyway, my question to BF is I suppose at the moment there are still metal case editions available or were they all snapped up in the pre order? Hope not or I may just have to play Russian Roulette with that automatic pistol. (reference to my other thread about shipping from location and customs charges) Had a quick play around last night once I managed to get activated, stupid NAV. Looking good, just got to convince the wife to go shopping herself today. Feeling a bit under the weather. Cheers
  7. Good news and bad. Would have liked a tin box version. Oh well, I'll just need to cuddle up to my plastic case instead. Cheers
  8. Hi Dr. Jones, Your country may be different to the UK. I'd check first on which fees you may pay. The UK Post Office just use customs clearing as a way of making lots of money. I think this may be unique to the UK but I could be wrong. I was very fortunate when I bought CMBN as it slipped through the net where others got stung with the charges. Trying to avoid these fees is like playing Russian Roulette, eventually your luck will run out. Now in the UK it's even harder for packages to slip through customs unnoticed and you're now playing Russian Roulette with an automatic pistol. Cheers
  9. Hi, So there will be an option to buy a hard copy from Europe at a later date? If so then I'll wait until that option is available. Got enough to keep me going with other games in the series and interests. Don't need to be the first on the block to play the latest release. Will order availability from Europe be announced or is it a case of keep checking? Cheers
  10. I am assuming that mjkerner lives in N America. If not then ignore the following. Person A in US buys a second copy and realises he doesn't need two and decides to send it as a present to his best buddy, person B in the UK. As it is a gift person A (who is not a company) marks gift and a low value on customs form. Second copy is now a second hand item with a poor resale value. Who would have thought that small stain on the tin would devalue it so much. Person B is so happy he makes a donation, via person A, to person A's favourite charity. I can't remember off the top of my head the personal value limit but for commercial companies it's around £18 ($27??). Personal is around £30 ($45??). I could be wrong but the HMRC website should have the exact figure. Cheers
  11. Thanks Moon. Missed that info. Should have gone to Spec Savers. I really don't have an issue with the customs charge but the UK post Office "admin" fee is way too much. Between the two it could add around £20 ($30) to the cost. I prefer a cd/dvd to downloads. Will probably wait to get this. Unless some kind person in the US is willing to help out. Cheers
  12. Hi, Good news on this and all the upcoming stuff. Will CMFI ship from USA only or will it be shipping from Europe as well? Big decision for me as the UK Customs and Post Office "admin" fees wiil push this out of the range I am willing to pay for a game. If not might have to wait a long time for it to be on sale to make it worth it. Please can we have no "bang for your buck" etc, replies/hijacks. A simple q requiring a simple answer from anyone in the know. Cheers
  13. Shouldn't that read Unconsciousness? I'll never pass for a student. Acne has long gone and my razor doesn't last a year.
  14. Ignore. I misread the quote. Message below too as this one didn't delete.
  15. Hopefully option 2. But I live in my own world and it is perfect as long as I keep taking my medication.
  16. If that is the case then I will owe user38 an apology. Didn't quite come across that way though. Anyway, time to move on. This has spiraled out of control and will never be resolved. I'll sit back, start up CMSF and wait for the patch. If the the flame wars continue on the forums, so be it. I've had my stint of being fire picket. Onwards!!!!!
  17. If you even took the time to read the post I stated it was aimed at the minority on these forums who jump on anybody who has a bad word to say about BF or their games. I didn't have a view on the game, it was the original poster who was jumped upon. It's like fastest finger first to get in there. "Then you would have realised the futility of making a subjective complaint of what all right thinking people would agree is the best game on the planet". One of us, one of us.. You just keep proving the original point. Fanboi!!!! Now you are stating that anybody who has a complaint or gripe about the game is not of sound mind and unable to make decisions for themselves. It would appear to be the other way around in your case. "Who am I suppose to be hating here". WTF Again we have a self proclaimed king of the forums who is DEMANDING apologies. Who are you? You are one of the people my post was aimed at. "exercising their legitimate right to flame". When I signed up for the forum, nowhere did it say you can belittle people, make them feel stupid, flame them or form yourselves into little mobs. I hope you have fun looking for your apology. Let me know when you find it. Try checking between your legs first. I will apologise for not getting the spelling correct of Fan(ny) Boy.
  18. There are three types of people on this forum. 1. Those who love the game no matter and will attack personally anybody who says anything against it. 2. Those who love it because they realise its potential and will help anybody who asks for help in a polite constructive manor. 3. Those who will hate it no matter. I believe the forum elite call them Trolls. If I am to assume the first line of you post is aimed at me then that would put you in category 1. If it is not aimed at me then I apologise. My original post at no point says that I hate the game. I couldn't wait for it to be released. I have supported BF for a lot of years and I play CMSF more than any other. The post is aimed at the conduct of those people in option 1 which has been too prevelant on these forums for too long. These are the true FB's I was refering to, not somebody who likes BF games. If liking their games is the definition of FB then I suppose I too am a FB. There are people here who seem to think that as soon as one person attacks a forum member it is the signal for the rest to crawl out of the woodwork. They all know who they are. There are a few +1, +1, +1.... This is the worst forum that I use, for snidy comments and personal attacks. I come here for info, tips and ideas and to see what bugs have been found and are being addressed. I'm sure most other people do but more and more over the years it has all becomes too personal on occasions. Anyway, my original post aimed at those in the minority but sometimes others do jump in wanting to be in "the gang" Am I paranoid? The voices in my head say no!!!!!!
  19. No, but my point was proven. It is the attitude, by a minority, towards people around here that ticks me off. The people who are throwing fuel are the people who assumed I was slating the game. I was making a point. People should be able to come here without being made to feel small, stupid or inferior. Sadly that is not the case on occasion. Anyway, better get my homework done. I'm probably old enough to be his father. Perhaps I... No must resist.
  20. Oh sorry, didn't realise there was a hierarchy here. Who made you head honcho? If you were wearing a hat the original post would have knocked it off. Unless it applies to you which going by your attitude arround the forum, it does. L
  21. Wasn't my quote about should have tried the demo. Read the posts from the beginning.
