  1. The eastern wind mod was made originally by Svarrogg, Jagdpanther, St.Andrey, Eger, for TOW 2 - Kursk.

    YuVe adapted it recently for TOW 2 - Kursk - Caen.

    With the help of Radmir, he added the US army :)

    Here is an english translation of this mod (95% translated), realized by me and JCMIL.

    I also prepared a small addon for this mod.

    You will fin a MG jeep, the M21 halftrack mortar and the sherman 105 for US army

    There is also one solo mission (take the bridge) and one multi mission with the US army.

    Mission Generator have been updated, so you can also produce missions with the US army (and make battles beetween USA and CCCP :D)

  2. Yes, I received the tool :)

    I am on the translation of the eastern wind mod 1.5.5. Almost finish !

    And I would like to add 2 units (M21 and MG jeep), with 2 missions.

    Test of the single mission is under progress !

    the second mission is a MP mission with US army (modification of the first MP mission of Caen)

    Once this is finished, I will try the tool, why not with the R35 :D

    Same process, same type of files to be transfered !

    If you compare TOW 1 files of the B1 bis and TOW 2 files, you will notice some small difference, like visibility and hearing. Mainly in data subdirectory

    I did the opposite, I transfered Italian tanks to TOW 1 :D

  4. It is easier to transfert "classic" units, like germans, because all guns, ammo, sound are probably already in Afrika.

    So you have to transfert a lot of data for B1 bis.

    You can also just transfert the 3dobj directory.

    Then, you can choose another tanks, sherman for exemple.

    You can modify the data/tanks/usa/sherman/unit.ini, to affect the B1 bis model to the sherman.

    The line is :

    MeshName 3dobj\tanks\usa\M4_(Sherman)_afrika\hier.him

    you can change it for the B1 bis.

    If all is OK, the model should (not sure) be seen in the encyclopedy. But it will not work in the game of course, but it is a first step.

    A new feature :

    For the new "allied" campaign, reinforcements appear as blocked units. You can select the crew for these units. You can also have other reinforcements during the mission.

    Choose a unit in TOW 1, and we can try to put it in TOW 2.

    Artillery is easier than tanks for exemple.

    You can also take a look at eastern wind mod. Several units of TOW 1 have been put in this mod for TOW 2. You will learn a lot by looking which files are necessary, and how are they modified.

    If you want to improve Afrika, you have first to install the balance mod either.

    If you want to improve Caen, Eastern wind mod is necessary.

    What do you want to do with that ?

    Usually, the whole list is not needed.

    For extractor, sometimes, it is weird.

    I think you can use the one you have put in TOW/mission editor to extract TOW 2.

    Automatic icon creation

    These textures must be compiled into one by using DamTexConverter tool. Input parameters are:

    path to the textures folder (relative to current directory)

    shift (optional, 5 by default).

    A list of textures (regions) names is stored in DamTexConverter.cfg.

    So I am also searching for this tool (damTexConverter).

    It seems that it is not in the archive "mod pack converter" of the link you gave.

  9. Do you want the official answer or the inofficial one? Officially, "we have always planned to release these utilities and scripts today in a separate archive".

    Inofficially, they were simply forgotten to be included. :) Oops. I have just put up a Part 5 of the mod pack with (hopefully) all of the missing meshtools.

    And the part 5 is not in other DL sites for the massive modpack.

    Is it possible to have again this part 5 ?

  10. So, as far I have understood :D

    we have the M4 (or M4A1), with a mortar at the rear. The base is the M2 halftrack.

    And we have the M21, with a "forward" mortar. The base is the halftrack M3

    In the game, we have only the M3 vehicule.

    But the HMG is in the front, so I can put only the mortar in the rear.

    It gives a "mix" vehicule :mad:

  11. How about a modern mod? If you can get units into the game what about modern ones?

    I just import units from one TOW to another TOW. The italian tanks are from TOW afrika centauro.

    And I "mix" part of tanks to create new tanks (like B2, which is a B1 with a T34 turret, orwhen I change just the gun)

    I don't make 3D models. It is to much time consuming for me...

    And I presume that it is a lot of work to create a full new unit from scratch :(
