Mate i was running a Intel Quad 9650 for AGES and when i upgraded to a I7 2600k i noticed a HUGE difference. Maybe not 100fps but it was playable, and smooth. As you have not stated what you're system specs are i can only guess But i DO feel for you Sorry i can't be of any more help mate

Nothing Special done at all mate seriously The only REAL issue i was having was TOW it was like when i started a new game or what ever it was like 5fps EVEN on very low LOL. Till i installed the latest drivers. Unfortunatly TOW2 Africa and TOW2 Kursk are just pains all round !! These games ARE super CPU intensive games. And these were released before i7's were released, makes you wonder WHAT magical PC configurations the dev team had when creating these games ? Heres a pic of what i am using atm. and i get nice fps. 40-50 BUT it degrades when looking at or being near a town.

Well this game is not like CMBN at all. But for the gene i like it. And its not to bad for the price either. I find it WAY better than WIC (World in Conflict) But each to his own chaps

Ok sorry for the lack of details I was using the last Nvidia Drivers 285.62 WHQL i believe and i was getting like 5 fps everywhere Now with the new drivers 295.73 WHQL i get max FPS over 60 now.

One word. TERRIBLE!!!!! My friend that i play a lotta MP games with decided to try Teaming up against the AI Me and him Brits AI x2 German We are attacking there defending Well we didn't have to move the AI just charged us NO armor and 2 88mm guns So we thought maybe just a random thing We tried a different map and Guess what? The AI charged us again!!!! AND the same TOE Ok so what is all this? Bug? Has anyone else had this issue? And IF this is a bug are we receiving a fix for it? But by the look of the forums with all the Theater of War Installments. It appears a dead game

Actually i bought or gifted my mate DCS A-10 last year for $19.99. Had there sale for like 24hours thingy. BEST buy ever and my mate was EXTREMELY happy Also my mate and i bought SB Pro together this year.. Worth the $100 ? Yeah for me it was ok

Playing with no Shadows then? If playing with Shadows are you getting good FPS? Because thats what it is all about Good FPS with Shadows on

Really on the fence about getting the "Commonwealth" Module This game has been out for what? Over 1 Year ? Yet there ARE performance problems even from people running this game with super rigs, and there has been nothing at all to fix those problems. So now we get a new MODULE that adds the Commonwealth, GREAT!! All the best and hope it sells well But there are STILL problems with lets pick a topic, say ummm "Shadows" Turn shadows off you say? Why? I have a VERY good rig and its part of the game, Don't have problems running other intensive games with shadows on with my hardware There are other issues as well that isn't worth getting into as that isn't my biggest grief. Every time i start to play, and i am having to swap between Shadow On Shadow Off situation, annoying and well i just want to leave the damn thing on. So I'm HOPING there will be some sort of fix on this, if not well, I'll just go play something else Regards

Well i have tried everything INCLUDING running another game in the back ground. Quite Bizarre. And no effect. So where does this leave me? Certainly not going to downgrade and im not going to be pulling out cards to test weather or not the card is the problem, and i don't have a 2nd PC to play it on. Cool Vids.. Never did watch Normandy pre release vids, just bought it. But in these vids i noticed MINIMAL camera panning and even with the moving of the camera they did do you can see the stutters going on. So it appears from what i just saw that even there PC's can struggle with this game. WEIRD!! Time for a new game engine perhaps? Or at the very least a update/refinement of the shadows? Look at 0:34 on the 2nd video there a bouts, in the wheat field and the shadows

Thxs for the reply Sneaksie. I have tried all those options you outlined NO success at all. The only time when my FPS skyrocket is when i press escape and enter the menu to change options. Then when going back to the game down to 5-9 fps I have tried VERY low Options Very high options, disable EAX, no Sound, and everything else i can think off. All to no effect. Please don't tell me that it is going to be a lemon

Yep I'm with you on the same boat I7 2600k DD3 8gig ram 1866 GTX 560 5fps or less. I seriously cannot believe what I'm seeing!!! Bought through steam aswell I hope there is some kind of fix for this !

Thxs for the reply mate.. Well from where i am sitting Model Quality set to fastest is the best. I don't see the point of having it any higher than that.. Well for me as I'm not seeing the LOD change until I'm about 100m away which is FINE!!! This means i have up to 70 FPS or more. AA and shadows on! Wonderful!! I've read of people having TERRIBLE performance and there systems are way better than MINE!!! So I'm wondering if there Model Quality is cranked up too much! Because for me at any rate Model Quality is a fps KILLER plain and simple.. But as i said that just my system Anyway my system specs are: Intel 9650Q Quad core 8 gig ram at 887 speed ATI 4890 Black Edition 11.7 Drivers

Hi guys.. Took the plunge and finally got it. As well as Shock-force and all the modules. And between the 2 games one thing REALLY isnt clear. And is NOT described well at all in the manual Call me old or blind, but i see NO difference in Fastest to Best in Model Quality. What i DO see is a Dramatic drop in FPS the Model Quality set to Best. I DO see i HUGE graphic difference in Texture quality When set from fastest to Best with NO FPS hit.. So can someone please enlighten an old guy on this issue please? Regards Mike
