  1. Do you not remember Brit Pop?

I do remember Brit Pop. I had several Oasis and Blur CD's. Back then I fell on the Oasis side and 15 years later, I think I made the right choice. Don't get me wrong I still spin up Park Life and dig Blur. I think a little time and reflection has made it clear that Oasis left a bigger footprint, especially here in the states.

  2. The Marder is an amazing IFV, even by today's standards. The Marder went into production way back in 1970 and was way ahead of its time. The only compitition at the time was the BMP-1. It was not until the early 80's that a rival like the Bradley entered the scene. The Marder is truly one of the most revolutionary military vehicles, post WWII.

  3. Redwolf,

I started dinking with the supply for the 6x M109's in each battery by putting a 6x FAASV's with a log pac nearby. I actually figured that to simulate the 93 rounds that each FAASV carries, the log pac would need to be 6288 points. It actually works well, to have the M109's fire their 40 each (or 240 rounds for the battery) and then, unload the log pac from the FAASV at less than 200 yards and then supply the M109's.

  4. Greetings,

Shame on me for waiting 8 years to become addicted to TacOps. This simulation is like crack! I have some questions if any of you would be kind enough to help.

    1. How does a fellow meet up with a network opponent?

    2. Do direction finding/ Fire finding RADARS really work in the sim? Will they locate and enemy artillery battery 15km for example?

    3. To simulate more realistic supply operations, is it best to load logistics packages on trucks and set overall supplies to zero?

This is all I can think of for the time being.

    Thanks,

    Pete

  5. Guys,

Playing version 1.11. If you take a Styker Infantry Squad and acquire the 3 Javalins, 2x AT4s and then split to an AT team, the AT team get the 3 missles, LCU and 1-AT4. I does not seem to matter if the T72 or whatever is in the targeted arc or ordered to fire, if in range the AT4 will usually fire first, while the Javalin gunner acquires a target.

  6. Mark,

Do a quick battle, village, Syrian Attack, night vs Stryker Infantry. Break your squads up into an AT team. Place AT team on a building. And watch in horror as AT4 hero fires at Syrian tanks 2-300 meters out, while Javalin guy tries to get a lock. The greatest effect is when the 125mm round kills the AT team and 3 Javalins and two men are lost.
