  1. I think Battlefront never wants to model those "Medal of Honor" or "Knight's Cross" actions, and thats the only way to go. Otherwise they also had to simulate tank crews bailing out and running away because of enemy artillery fire...

So that thing with the badass tank crews is just a (funny) bug or limitation of the engine.

Hope they find a fix for this.

  2. But i think it should be possible to use "automatic" and just set Type, Quality and Max. Fitness.

Is this a error or what ?

    Manual says:

These options define the units that both sides will be playing with. Units can be

either purchased by the player(s) or are selected randomly, based on the

    parameters chosen in this screen.

    Service[...]

    Combat Force[...]

    Type[...]

    Quality[...]

    Max. Fitness[...]

  3. Ok, i get Sergei's point. The FPS can be different while viewing different spots in the forest from different angles. I get a difference from ~10 FPS.

But the camera movement always feels smooth with no lag with gentle wind.

Flying through the forest at low level gives me ~25 FPS !

The difference between gentle and heavy wind is that with heavy wind i get constant low FPS while "flying" through the woods at low level.

Mostly 10 FPS and below !

So, wind has a huge impact on performance anyway !

Its a problem Battlefront needs to fix !

  4. I will stay with LongLeftFlank on that one:

I think many of you guys are grossly overestimating what it takes to move infantry formations (never mind vehicles!!!) through hedgerow country.

    Or with YankeeDog:

But I do think it's a valid point that low bocage especially would usually not be *completely* impermeable to infantry IRL. In addition to deliberate small breaches for farmers to pass from field to field, there would always be spots where the vegetation was a bit lower or weaker, or a small tree provided purchase to climb over, or whatever. So scenario designers should keep this in mind and rarely, if ever, present a contiguous, unbroken line of low bocage -- there should pretty much always be small breaches for infantry to pass through every few dozen meters or so.
