  1. The mod is good. It wont' work well with Multi though. I run vanilla ToW online.

  3. if you are using the JSH mod then the hold position doesn't work well. The JSH mod is still not good for multi so I have removed it so others might play multi player online with me.

  7. If you guys Really want a Great Game.... PLAY TOW ONLINE>>>>> People what is wrong with you?? This game is great if only you get out of the rush rutt and if need be snap your fingers while you play to give you the feeling of usless motion.
  8. Done that it is nothing but WWII version of OFP and more for Clanish types. Not worth the 14 bucks it costs each month.
  9. anyone interested my IP has changed 64.85.228.200 for Team Speak server join if you wish to play ToW. If any server say NA in the ping slot then they most likely can't host.

  11. seems that Madmatt wasn't able to find out what is wrong with the Multiplayer server for online matches? It is Day 4 and server still down? I hope this is not going to be going on much longer.
  12. Hmmm, Day three and no online server? Maybe bad weather in Russia? Wonder why this is? Please put up the server for online games lobby I feel if it isn't up that multi player will not go well.

  14. The Internet Connection Server has been down for Tow days now? Is there a reason for this? I use it alot to play this game and would like to see it up and running again Soon. Please let us know when it will be back up. Thanks

  16. you can use the mouse wheel to move camera or you can do what I do and assign a number to your tanks and unit groups with the ( Ctrl & Number keys ) then when you want to see your units just tap the number for that group or uint twice and bam your there. Hope this helps you.
  17. Spartan, I recomend you keep waiting because there isn't one out yet that is worth playing...lol. Untill there is you might try playing ToW online for it is a great Tactical game.

  19. I understand now that you two post things as a suggestion rather then just to complain. My post was obviously not meant for you but for those who are posting that micro-managing is to hard for them. I feel that this game as it is plays very well and I personally am able to play it very well. I guess what concerns me is if they change it to less Micro-managing it will make the game lame as is CoH ,Blitzkreig, Sudden Strike, and a horde of others. That is mostly what I was trying to say is ToW is the only game that makes one feel they are the units and are in command of the units. I have a few things that I feel should be addressed and for now am waiting to see the add on before I express them because I know 1C will address them in the addon. Meant no offense to anyone here I humbly apologize.
  20. Sfox28, When you delete a unit from the game by way of the editor and then add a new unit it likes to put it anywhere but where you wanted it. I just double click on the name of the unit in the line up then the map goes to that unit. If you are zoomed out try zooming in and you will see it better. Then just click and drag it to your starting units position and release it. Be sure to add you men and see that they too are not in the wrong spot just do the same thing with double clicking on the name of the unit and looking on the map for it. If it isn't in the right spot then click and drag it to the correct position and your done.

It truly is a shame that some people who are always complaining of how much the game is "Micro-Managing" because they obviously play those Sudo RTS games that are just pretty graphics and lame game-play. I feel sorry for those that find it to much for their lazy unused brains to play the game like it is meant to be played. Those who find it to mentally consuming are those that like to click instead of think of what your men and equipment are suppose to do. This game allows you to be the brains not just a concert director. You are to tell Private Noodle to go there and shoot here. You are to tell your gunner to load AP instead of HE. You are the game. That is the reason it doesn't need a large force of Thousands to be the great game it is. I have made a few missions for Multilayer and play them vs AI just to see if the sides are balanced and as Redbear has mentioned along with Crazyman they are quite fun and very Challenging. Today I played with three guys on-line and believe it or not I used my Squad to take out Two Pz IV's and a squad of men. My missions are a bit larger areas then the normal and I always give 45 mins to an hour of game-time so that you can set up your units and plan your tactics without fear that the time is going to run out on the perfect gameplan that you have come up with. But alas I digress... This post is to tell those who are constantly complaining about Micro-Managing , to realize that a real time strategy game has never been made that truly lives up to its name none that is but TOW! This game by far allows you to be the general and to partake in every step of the plan like no other game. Sure it is tough but War is HELL!! ToW is a true RTS in all aspects. It lets you do it all and know your the reason your men live or die. I invite you all to play online with me and check out the missions that a few here have had the pleasure of being able to see just how well this game plays when done right. Remember that My Team Speak server is always up and running when I am online so you can join it and we can battle it out. IP # 69.42.3.18 feel free to join up. I would truly enjoy sharing the experience of a real wargame , the way ToW plays is truly the best of all. By the Way, My online name is Mushhead in case you join the TS or game server it wont' say JMayer.

    Multyplayer?

    I would like to let all know that I still have my Team Speak server up when I am online ( I am online alot ) the ip is 69.42.3.18 join it to look for people to play online ToW. If you guys use it others will be easy to find. Just a reminder, the JSH mod is somewhat incompatable with Multi player so I suggest that you uninstall JSH mod if you intend on playing online. It tends to lockup the games and/or makes some players unable to see their men moveing.
  24. Just a note, I put in air and arty for AI in battle Gen mission and the AI used it without any Scripting from me at all. I recommend when making a mission to use the battle gen to select maps and positions and units plus air and arty then use the editor to arrange it to your liking and use triggers.
  25. I know some of you out there find it hard to understand why I would buy 3 copies of ToW in what you say is an UN-finished state. I agree that there are some things that still need to be worked on and yet this game is by far the best Tactical game ever put out to date. I made a Quick Battle Generated game the other day in which I gave the AI ,( this was a singel player mission ) Arty and Air as Support along with a large selection of units. Now I have played alot of games in the last 25 years of doing computers and I was totally blown away when I played the game and the AI used the arty to supress my charge and use the air cover to attack! Oh, I forgot to mention that I did not use any script or triggers for the support for the AI it did it on its own! Now that is a very far advanced game play that I have been longing for a long time. This game has so much in it already that my buying 3 copies is very much justified because I know 1C has found a game that they can keep building on and keep making more things to create a game that really is awesum. Those that can't see the potential of this game are most likely not used to playing Brain Games as I grew up playing Chess and Book Shelf Games ( I am an older Person btw) so you can't see the reason why TOW plays as it does. ToW truely lets you use your mind to win not how quickly you click or how well you learn the tricks of the units.I believe that with ToW all they can do is make more and more things to add and keep the game alive for years to come.
