  1. As in real life type of terrain doesn’t inflict on units protection only hills, mountains and etc. If your unit is lying behind small hill he won’t be hurt – terrain will stop the bullets. But if your unit lies down in field he will be certainly hurt – grass doesn’t stop bullets. I hope that I understand your question correctly.
  2. No you can’t minimize unit’s initiative. If unit is having the defense command he will attack enemy units in his clear LOS. After destroying enemy unit or loosing it from LOS he will come back at his “starting position”.
  3. Factors effecting on morale: 1. Danger level of unit. 2. Friendly visible panicking units. 3. Damage caused to unit. 4. Visible friendly units. Quantity, battle value, battle power takes effect. 5. Being inside of other unit (tank, DOT, car and etc). 6. Unit’s own “Leadership” characteristics 7. Presence of visible unit with high “Leadership” (“Leadership” is higher that unit’s own). Only one with higher parameter takes in account if there is more that one unit visible. 8. Presence of visible commander (inside the tank for crew), his “leadership” parameter takes in account. Only one with higher parameter takes in account if there is more that one commander visible. 9. Hit or flinch. Only first hit\flinch\death takes in account if there were more than one hit\flinch\death in small time amount. Hit takes more effect than flinch. Death one of crew members takes effect only on crew members. 10. Death of friendly unit. 11. Death of enemy unit. Danger level counts from 0 to 100, where 0 is absence of danger and 100 is deadly danger. Factors effecting on danger level: 1. New enemy became visible. 2. Enemy approached closer to unit. 3. There occurred an explosion near unit or bullet hit ground near unit. 4. Unit was hit.
  4. As I have already wrote in other topic there are some issues that are also calculated in the game. May be it will explain your question “Why?”. Here is the list: - armor thickness - hit angle - ricochet angle - shell normalization angle, if normalization is supported by type of ammo - in the moment of normalization there is calculated a chance of destruction of shell - type of ammo. For example if APHE penetrates armor there will occur explosion inside the tank causing some extra fragmental damage. T34 is not a super tank. They are so constantly “popping” when there is more powerful weapon against them.
  5. If you want to ask some questions about gameplay and game mechanics please post it here. I will try to answer.
  6. If you want to have a dialog with me please be more polite. I'm telling you about the whole situation on the front at that time. PzIVc can penetrate T34\41 from 50 meters. But don’t forget about ricochet and etc. It is myth about “developers that made there tanks undying”. Not a single TTX of Russian\German\Polish\American\British tank, AT, MG and etc were taken of air. There are all took from historical documents and working drawings.
  7. At that period of war T34 were pretty “strong” tanks. IVC and III were starting to lose there force because of construction lacks. Also 34 had rather thick armor; hitting T34 became rather hard mission - thanks to the armor angle. Nazi ammo and guns hadn’t much power to penetrate T34 effectively. Also you didn’t place your tanks tactically correct. [ May 03, 2007, 02:20 AM: Message edited by: SoaN ]
  8. What do you mean by standard M10? We have first modification of M10. In the link that is posted by Jaws there is a picture of second modification M10 “Wolverine”. Here is a picture of first modification that is represented in game:
  9. To shred some light in this topic. The issues that are calculated in the game: - armor thickness - hit angle - ricochet angle - shell normalization angle, if normalization is supported by type of ammo - in the moment of normalization there is calculated a chance of destruction of shell - type of ammo. For example if APHE penetrates armor there will occur explosion inside the tank causing some extra fragmental damage. Any questions???
  10. The modification of M10 presented in game is M10 “Wolverine”. The foto that u posted is the “Achilles” modification.
  11. BDHX was a little too fast in his words. We are making some researches and looking for the solutions for the way how we can add this feature. It is planned to make this in patch or in addon if we cant find the fast solution. Cheers, flintlock </font>
  12. I would still like to know if this issue can be eliminated, or if I am doing something wrong. </font>
  13. Thanks a lot for these words and for entire post. It is always useful to read constructive critics. I’ll try to answer your questions as full as I can. We are planning to make some changes in LOS/LOF systems. That’s all I can say bye now. Let’s imagine such situation. Some armored car is moving on its max speed towards the trenches. For example 60 km/h. On the half of its way it gets an order to move in opposite direction. It will be reasonable to stop the car before it will turn back. You must stop before gear shifting to reverse. It was decided to make it in such way in game for avoiding “strange” situations. As for waypoints - there are planed some changes. You can make tanks use ONLY coax MG by clicking at it once. It’ll become lightened. In such way tank will fire only from MG, so infantry will become his main target.
  14. As I already wrote before max range (even for shrek) is 180 meters. They can’t shot in target 200 meters away.
  15. You shouldn’t expect historical realism in single missions.
  16. Max range of Panzerschreck is 180. You are right.
  17. Each weapon in the game has a real range (according to TTX). Range of fire from Panzerfaust100 is 100 meters. From Panzerfaust30 – 30 meters, Panzerfaust60 – 60 meters. Those are max ranges from which they can fire in target. It doesn’t mean that they will hit the target from such distance but there is still some chance. Which one was used in you’re situation?
  18. According to information from veterans of WW2 it took about 40 minutes and full crew to repair tracks in perfect conditions. That’s why it’s not reasonable to make this feature available.
