  1. Unfortunatelly, with my damn PC,

i only can play the mission untill the soviet tanks enter the battlefield, then its to slow.

My new PC should be here in a few weeks, then i can play it again :( .

But what i saw in the editor you a did a real great job with the triggers  ,

It's also very nice to learn that stuff because your descriptions inside the triggers.

    Thanks a lot smile.gif

From what I've discovered you can come pretty close to nighttime darkness (!) but I suspect that it won't affect visibility parameters in-game very much...

Not pretty close, you can also make it a**dark with stars but it makes no sense ;)

Go to the campaigneditor....add your mission to campaign / singelmissions and save.

Now you can open the stringtable from your mission and add your messages,

i.e. SID=1 "Reinforcement have arrived", dont forget to save in the campaigneditor!

Go back to the missioneditor and add the send message command in your reinforcement trigger.

    Should looks like that:

    ReinforcementLand( Group , "Group_sherman_1" )

    ReinforcementLand ( GROUP , "Group_sherman_2" )

    ReinforcementLand ( GROUP , "Group_sherman_3" )

    ReinforcementLand ( GROUP , "Group_sherman_4" )

    SendMessage ( "1" , 10000 )

    Delay ( 15000 )

    ClearMessage ( "1" )

    Halt

    ENDIF

  4. I play on min. hardwarespecs (P4 2.7, 1GiG RAM, Gf-6600GT) but with medium shadows the game is running very nice but as soon i scroll over just a few houses my FPS drop down to diashow, contolling a fight in a small village is impossible for me :(

Changing texturedetail to minimum and disable shawdows also makes no difference!

I dont understand why those, more or less usless, houses eat so much perfomance, they dont have high deatiled textures, no complex damage system, no firepositions,...

You can make new missions already with the mission editor that ships with TOW. Allows yout to select an existing map and do a completely different mission on it with different forces and goals. The Map Editor is there to, additionally, be able to manipulate the maps, too.

I just hope its also possible to remove objects like trenches and houses.

They allways try to to aim at enemy and dont accept the command, hold fire and dont move command should help in that case but it doesnt

IMO that should be added to high priority list for the first patch.

Of corse, as soon we can mod the sounds in Il-2

BTW:whats about customskins like in Il-2,

    should be possible?

    Wich games you talk about?

I just dont understand why you (1C) create a RTS game with realistic fireranges but the maps was so small that you cant move your tanks around because you was allmost all the time in firerange

Seems to me its more a campergame then a RTS or tactical game :(

But yes, there will also be (some) new maps supplied by us.

BTW, keep in mind that a "map" in TOW is MUCH bigger than the playable area. You can find completely different terrain on the very same map by changing the definition and location of the playable terrain. Effectively, you get a completely new terrain layout in that way.

Sorry, but who cares about the non playable size?

2x2km is the biggest playable size we have and that must be just a joke

  11. Danke Marc fürs sehr informative Preview smile.gif
