  2. Yeah, well. I am not worrying that i wont get Poland, its just that i speculated with a polish surrender after turn 2 (warsaw captured) and now it did not surrender and he will attack one of my poor AF`s with a corps. And now i am not sure if i should in turn 3: a) kill as many polish units as possible (experience) or dont kill anything thats left, operate west and hope for polish surrender this turn (more MPP) Fireball

"(alas not a terrible effective one still a nice pet project)" Thats right, nothing more than a pet project. "- The range of rockets is vastly superior then artillery. " Right, but why replace a weapon (rockets) that was never used, by a weapon that is included in the Army Scale? Means, no rockets, no artillery, no artillery, no rockets. So I came to the conclusion that we have a free unit slot , which should be filled by something better than that. (I know i know, the Editor...DIY. But i am not that talented in painting) Fire
  4. Besides how we handle artillery exactly in the game, one fact remains. A special rocket icon is the worst thing in SC2. What impact did rockets (and i am talking about "strategic" rockets) as the V1 and V2 had in WW2, let me think.....none! So everybody that argues the way that artillery is inculded into the Corps/Army Icons, but rockets deserve a special icon taking up a whole HEX !!!!, well, everybody who argues that way should, in my opinion, find a better argument.   6. Very true. But my game would be for HvH. Maybe i take my WiF Board Game and than i put the hexes on it. I just want to use the maximum size for the map because it should be a Corps/Div game and i need an atlantic .... i mean a REAL atlantic ! Thanks ! Fireball
  7. I already tried to get some help in different posts but now i try it this way Has anybody a standard europe from the internet, a picture etc. that i could use as a draft. Something where i could put a hexfield onto, that would help me to see where i have to make rivers, woods etc. I want to use the maximum available size from the editor but did not find a useable map from the internet so far.   8. I would do a larger map of europe if somebody could give me a hint how to. I mean i cant just take the 39 campaign and make it 4 times larger just by klicking. How do i handle the scale and where exactly to put a forrest or desser etc.. Fireball
  9. (Fireball not Fire) I would say that there is a general problem between the game and reality. Assume Player A is the attacker with amphibs and Player B is the defender in, lets say, France. The perfect solution would be one, in which Player B could attack the amphibs with his ships and planes because that would be realistic. In SC2 this wouldnt be possible, because player B could not only use his ships and planes but could also move whole armys HQs and what not from the east of Russia to the west in this turn before the amphibs can unload....very unrealistic. So either we devide SC2 in a game with ship/plane movement and than armies groudn movement turns (how cool would that be ) or, we live with one of the two possible but either unrealistic solutions. 1) Amphibs move and unload. Player B can only watch. Unrealistic for the planes and ships of player B or 2) Amphibs wait one turn. Unrealistic because player B can move whoole Army Groups while Soldiers from Player A are jumping out of the landing crafts. I like Solution 1 better but it should be patched somehow. Fireball
  10. Hi SMG42 I am working on that bigger map too, i just have some problems with the scale. Basically we have to make 4 hexes out of every one hex of the standard campaign but this is easier said than done. WOuld be finde if we had the chance of drag/drop in the editor or how would you approach that? Fire (Fireball, just dont have my password at work )
