I'd like the "M","C", ... labels on the tabs for movement, combat, etc replaced by the hotkeys that access the tabs.
Is there no way to show all movements/all target lines like in CMx1?
Please seperate the option for keyboard layout and language. I'd like to see English text but use the German keyboard layout (I'll have to see in how far I can change the key bindings myself, however I'd still prefer to have the ability to select those options seperately).
I have read the reasons for the buy and delete method in the scenario editor. After reading that I'd still like an option to buy units individually.
Am I the only one who thinks so?

Could it have been a mistake in translation?
A "Panzer Division (verstärkt)" would be any Pz Division with anything added, e.g. a PzDiv + 1 Coy of Panzergrenadiere.
Could that have been the original term instead of "schwer"?

That's the theoretical range a projectile can fly and that's quite realistic. It's not the range you can effectively fire at a target. It doesn't have any significance for the game engine as far as I know.Originally posted by Freeboy:20k? Dude look at the tank ranges... those are in the SILLY catagory

Outcomes depended on the circumstances: in BVR combat the MiGs didn't stand a chance against the Hornets, in short range engagements the MiGs were superior. BTW, Germany doesnt have MiGs anymore.Originally posted by tiny_tanker:Actually the Luftwaffe Mig-29 pilots are very good, but the Mig-29 isn't in the same class as the F-15 even, let alone next generation systems like the F-22 or F-35. There is a video out there of a training exercise between the Luftwaffe Mig-29 and a Navy F/A-18D squadron on the Germans home turf. It was a good match if i remember correctly the Migs won maybe two more engagements than the Hornets did. This is quite interesting since a two seat fighter is generally quite inferior to their single seat counterpart.
The Syrians would fair much worse, using older versions of the Mig-29 with far inferior pilots. There would be a 100% casualty rate for any fighters that took to the air simple as that.

guess I was too late.

Oh yes, I think you can make them appear in the single mission menu. Haven't tried this, yet, but others have. I think one way is to open them in the editor and save them as single missions.Originally posted by SGT_56M:If you go to 'single player', 'campaign'... then select the campaign the mission was in, you can replay the individual missions.
I don't think you can play them as completely stand alone missions though.
Then again, I could be completely wrong.

Did you ever notice that you can move units closer to each other during a battle than in setup? That might be the reason for the repositioning. Your suggestion would probably not fix the problem completely since the positions of your units at the end of the previous battle are invalid if the setup "rules" are applied, i.e. you couldn't move your units back where they belong even if you had a limited setup functionality.Originally posted by Baron von Beergut:I agree with you Lt Bull - I've had the same frustration and don't know the answer. I would think if at the start of the next battle they would allow you to adjust your unit setup by allowing you to reposition up to say 20 meters in a setup phase that that would counteract that quirk of the program.

There is some modelling of cumulative damage. You can lose skirts from hits. If the next shot hits the same area it will hit the armor directly.
Don't know if there is cumulative damage modelling for single armor plates, though.

And the AI will probably have the same problems with it.Originally posted by panzermartin:We can still make impassable terrain with an elevated road running across? Works exactly like a bridge.
But we'll find out soon enough (hopefully)

In the Wehrmacht that was called "Führen von vorne".Originally posted by JV44:This is nonsense, picking up guns to stop them running ahead ! , the problem is that at the beginning of a game or during the battle the officer will for no reason simply run out into the open , I have often ordered my infantry to advane to a cover line and once there stop them and hold position and then after a short while the officer will simply run out the cover into the open and charge a trench on his own , or if it is the beginning of a battle they simply up and run towards the enemy whist the squad remain , its a pure and simple AI issue that needs clarifying or resolving
Maybe he's scouting ahead. But yeah, I'd prefer them to stay where I sent them, too. If I want the officer to scout I'll tell him to.

I wish you'd let him back in, I can understand him getting worked up. We all know trying to get a game to run can be pretty frustrating.Originally posted by Madmatt:General Disarray,

Of course I can understand people being disappointed if ToW doesn't work the way it should, I was just pointing out that it's probably not the minimum requirements themselves but rather their individual system setup which causes the problems.
I'd wish it'd work for everyone the way it does for me and I believe that'll be the case at some point. The question is if that'll be anytime soon.

You can see the dotted red line on the landscape when you select your tank and its main gun. It shows minimum range.
-
You get fighter support in one of the earlier missions. And you get attack planes in "The battle of Kovel", but that's somewhere between 6 and 8.

So why don't you just shut up and play??? You must be in LOVE with the developers that have left so many out in the cold. You are the very definition of a DUMB ASS!! </font>Originally posted by General Disarray:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by tankibanki:

Well, I guess "me" counts, even if it's below min instead of minimum:Originally posted by FanzerPaust:show me one, name me one poster here that has the minimum req and the game works good.
AMD XP2400+ 2GHz
512MB RAM
GeForce 3Ti200

And some who don't have problems have a PC below the minimum requirements.

No that doesn't work, credit card is the only option at the moment.Originally posted by Zatoichi:Presumably you can create a PayPal account, and transfer your money into that to pay, so not having a Visa card shouldn't mean no game.

Yes, that works.Originally posted by Destraex:I noticed that the download license allows me two installs. I was thinking of lanning with a close friend to see if he likes it.
License says you can install on a second computer and de-license when finished.

only 512 MB RAM, no problems with higher vehicle/tank numbers.

Yes, Fruchtreis, but that doesn't taste better in any Mensa, either
Any Aussies here? Do you get Vegemite in your MREs or whatever they're called down under?

What's your problem with EPA? "Italienisches Nudelgericht" is pretty good and "Cevapcici" is excellent. The Bundeswehr must be a rotten army.

Don't think they should be higher. My system only partly meets the requirements, but ToW still runs much better than expected.

Xnview is the free viewer I use.Originally posted by wokelly:I cant seem to view my screen shots. Windows Picture and Fax Viewer doesnt want to work. Anyone have any suggestions for another FREE program I can download so I can view them?

Why do I have to watch the replay in turn mode? Sometimes there is nothing new to see and I'd just like to continue without having to fast forward.
And by the way: I love the game!
