  1. Can you confirm that there is no protection for certain types of terrain? If so terrain is only useful for breaking LOS?
  2. You guys should consider yourselves lucky talking about game issues. I preordered and still cant get the training going:(
  3. SIO, It would really help me if you could respond to my earlier post..Is there a clue there or not? Thanks, Mike
  4. I pre ordered the game, why, beacuse I trust BF and companies that stick their necks out to bring us these games need our support. Am I disappointed ? Yes. I run all other games fine on my system but get frame rate of 1 every 3 seconds in tutorial and games all the same. Haven't been able to play a single game. Will BF fix it? I am sure they will but what would be really helpful is a statement from them. Here is what we agree is wrong. This is what we are doing etc... Because if all we are going to get is try this and so on then I dont think I will ever be playing the game. A good company statement would put everyone in the picture and stop all this bickering online which is going to kill any future sales. Just my opinion...
  5. Aren't you just wonderful... LOL Fact is a lot of people bought the game and its not working at all...
  6. SIO, I am sorry. ATI express 200 was designed specifically for Directx9. It runs every other game I have beautifully yet runs TOW at 1 frame every three seconds at the lowest settings and you say its the card. I just dont understand your logic with this. TOW must be doing something every other game designer doesnt for there to be such a difference! A question: Why does the autodetect detect my game at max settings on this video card?
  7. From what I can see ATI Radeon Express 200 does?
  8. Nobody has said its a problem at Battlefront. I think they just think its a spec issue. Haven't heard an upadte yet but that would be a help...
  9. Bump!!! Anyone? Is there anything useful in this to help solve the problems...
  10. Gauge, Hold tight. I am having the same problems only with AMD. I think the guys are doing all they can and will resolve it. Must be a nightmare to test every configuration available. Pil posted earlier on the AMD 64 thread that they have a problem with AMD and are working to fix it. I would like this confirmed but thats how I read it???
  11. Guys, Lets see if we can get some help for the guys to resolve this. There has got to be a pattern and its not ram. I have over 2 Mb. Instead of all saying runs like crap why dont we run FRaps and see what the rate is at lowest settings (mines ZERO). Or at least tell them a bit more. I can actually see models move once every three seconds or so. Just selecting units or the start battle button is the same. Anyone else near that bad? Mike [ April 23, 2007, 07:35 AM: Message edited by: Spartan ]
  12. Tofke, Sorry. Its not a case of trying to increase marginally the frame rate. I just dont think this program is running on my PC..
  13. AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2 GB Ram ATI Radeon Express System able to run any other game no problems. Company of Heroes is a dream... Notes: Tried all the various such as selecting single processor. All back ground programs switched off. Processor update applied. Latest driver 8.360.0.0. I still dont believe this is a video card problem ie spec becuase no matter which settings I have high or low the framerate is the same. It still takes 3 or 4 seconds just to select Game Start or an icon when no screen drawing is being done. People with quite recent graphics cards seem to be having the same problem. Game unplayable at the lowest settings. Anything else left to try at this stage? I appreciate your help, Mike PS. Exactly the same response in Window mode. Takes 4 or 5 seconds to remove Paused when space bar hit and mosdt peculiar of all when I auot detect the system picks much higher settings than I am trying to run. So if it does any test at that point surley again that points to another problem not spec. [ April 23, 2007, 10:56 AM: Message edited by: Spartan ]
  14. The funny thing is when I auto detect the game picks up maximum settings as well. If it didnt think I had the right spec would it not choose lower settings? Thanks, Mike
  15. I give up. Im so frustrated and have tried everything to get the game running. Other games run beautifully but I just cant get this one going. Strange thing is at the very lowest settings and the very highest settings the speed is just the same, about 1 frame every 2 seconds. I ran frps to check. I worried that this is a completely deiiefernt problem but am going to buy a new graphices card. QUESTION:The Sandra program picks up my slots as three PCI. The HP website says there is a PCI Express in there. I have an HP Pavilion a1210n AMD Athlon 64. How can I tell the differemce between PCI and PCI Express? Will an Nvidia card run with AMD processor? Thanks, Mike
  16. Hpt Lisse, Do you work for Battlefront? Are you officially saying that the ATI Xpress 200 will not run this game? Thanks, Mike
  17. Guys, You have all my info I am now not looking at slow demo main game wont start...

  19. Very similar spec to my machine. Seems to be some pattern with AMD64 and ATI garphics cards no matter which?? Mike
  20. I have the same problem with the full downloaded game. Tried everything mentioned but doesnt start. Mike
