  1. Well I suppose it's reasonable for people who play computer games to be expected to know how their computers work. But I don't. And I don't think it's too much to ask for the people who sold me the game to put in a system that enables me to delete saved scenarios. Failing that some instructions on how to find "the folder in question". I'm still trying to find the PRINTABLE manual for Brit forces. (Something that I'd have paid money to get with the game itself!)
  2. Some gent kindly posted instructions on how to deleted some of my many saved games some time ago. Well I've forgotten how to do so and my computer seems to have deleted the folder (along with several dozen valuable photos!!!) in which I'd saved the instructions. So, if some kind chap would tell me how to do it again I'd be grateful and this time I'll print them out onto good old fashioned paper and to **** with the environment :-) Thanks.
  3. LOL Well that explains it :-) A bit of a bug in the design though if one can drive half (less than) the convoy off the map and then declare a victory!
  4. How many trucks did you have total? There were 10. Interesting if you ran off with four and then claimed win :-) PS My apologies for correcting your spelling! My computer does it automatically every time I type anything. No offence intended. I wish i could write italiano like you write English.
  5. Yes thank you but that would apply to any scenario as my computer is usually in the same mode of operation whenever I play. Point taken though - thanks.
  6. I agree entirely. A soldier on the ground is given a mission with objectives. If there are hidden objectives what do you do? If killing enemies in villages that haven't been specified as targets is a good thing to do then why not just wipe out the entire map every time? This is wrong.
  7. Ten turns/minutes "rounds" to get them all off? But the second lot of lorries don't arrive until ten minutes have passed? There are IEDs all over the last stretch of the road. I wonder if these, being command detonated, didn't go off because all the Syrians had yet to arrive? Can anyone tell me if there is a way (other than saving and marking the start) of replaying a campaign scenario?
  8. If by "1.21" you mean the latest fix then yes. But did you occupy the buildings or clear them? Did you move ALL your forces, not just the lorries, off the screen? I hate IFVs still on the screen, and didn't clear the buildings.
  9. I got all but two of the lorries. One Scimitar was RPG'd and a Warrior disabled. I waited until all troops were at hand, wiped out most of the enemy and then moved down the road. An IED took out two lorries but I'd left the two building complexes and consequently didn't gain any points for them. I enjoyed the scenario a great deal but thought I'd been "cheated" by the mission parameters. (A bit like the previous "botched" scouting job.)
  10. This question is one massive spoiler if you haven't played this scenario, so if you don't want it ruined don't read on! s p o i l e r s p o i l e r I got all but two of the lorries off the table (sorry map - old age speaking!) with minimal losses. But then I got a Minor British DEFEAT!!!!! The scenario briefing said nothing about taking two towns/facilities, and it wasn't even necessary to run the convoy. What gives? (PS Still the finest game I own.)
  11. Thanks. That's basically what I meant. the more there is to do and the more clutter on the map the slower it seems to run. The Police Station scenario in the British Module is the example I was thinking of. Thanks again.
  12. Knowing nothing about computers (and caring less) could someone answer this for me. If a game "moves" slowly could one of the reasons be that there is a lot for the computer to "think" about when using AI?
  13. Is it possible to explode an IED by gunfire? A Warrior in particular?
  14. As a matter of interest which version of 7 are you using?
  15. I wouldn't know how to do that and anyway I have other things to do. I'm just p*ss*d. And I'm a HUGE fan.
  16. I don't care if the FO can't call in anything if he's dead or busy. I DO care if the computer program won't let me do what I paid it to do. Battlefront - time we heard from you here. (And I'm your biggest fan!)
  17. This has just been posted in the Tactics area. You cannot be serious! What - I have to begin ALL THREE CAMPAIGNS all over again??? You have to be kidding.
  18. What - I have to begin ALL THREE CAMPAIGNS all over again??? You have to be kidding.
  19. Vista was hell to set up now we're going to have the same problem with Seven! Oh for the days of 3.1.
  20. Well, I p*ss*d frankly. I cannot re-start a scenario from the Campaign completely new (as far as I am aware) so I have to find the first turn of the previously played game. So I did this, coming in on "turn" one i.e. one hour to go. I took out the tank immediately (in error!!! Plucky Brits) but then immediately had my arty denied. So I either have to play the entire campaign again as new (?) or forget it and move on :-( PS It's still the finest computer game in the world.
  21. My arty is denied to any unit that requests it, not just the FO. And yes, green and red?
  22. It's a scenario half played followed by a download and then continued. Which seems to fit the picture. Many thanks.
  23. I've discussed this on the tactic site but is anyone at BF able to tell me if having my artillery denied in the Brit scenario (Al Taft<sp?>0 is part of the game or a bug?
