Well I'm not a football fan but have we lost sight of something about alternate enemies? THIS IS A GAME - None of it is true. it doesn't matter who fight whom. Much more important is that the British are all b**** SCOTS!!! :-)

I had no tanks, no arty (well one set or was it two of mortars) and just the two Harriers. Moving to occupy the high ground on the "left" of the AOE helped bring down machine gun fire but it still worked out as a slugging match and the second time I played in instead of a disaster I had a "no-one won". I'd go at it again, but the BRITISH HAVE ARRIVED!!!

Well I was kidding really but if we're going to fight who wants a balanced scenario! It's 1776 again chaps <g>

Gee thanks, I hadn't forgotten that I never knew it! So going back to my original question, if I don't even have LOS then I can't hurt them? If I don't have LOS I could still use area fire though. Yes?

Stupid question but I've become so hung up on the game I'm dammed if I can remember a basic rule!!!! At beginner level if my squad can see an enemy but the enemy icon is NOT BRIGHT RED, can they fire on it? If they can what's the point of showing bright red? I know, but I've forgotten.

"when you made it through pooh, you should handle milk run easily! Yeah right :-) When I arrived I had no artillery, minimal Mortars and the two Harriers. The Harries were useful (British design y'know!) but couldn't kill everything. The tanks never arrived and I suffered 80% losses. Advice?

Did anyone else have their heads handed back to them on a plate when they played this scenario in the Marine Campaign?

I've come to that conclusion. They' re from the M203 40mm grenade launcher, although I'm surprised they can be loaded and fired that quickly. Thanks to all who posted.

I knew Jim, Dave Isby, Redmond and Al Nofi (the anti-English "noted ACW Historian" <to quote from S&T>). I was a frequent visitor to all of them in New York almost up to the end. (sob...) Really nice people, apart from Nofi, oh and Edi Birsan too. (REALLY nice chap.) I turned down the S&T agency in the UK (Duh!) Then again I also knew Gary Gygax, so it evens out :-)
