  1. Thanks guys, I'll try what you suggest, and I'll certainly take rleete up on his generous offer to kick my butt all over the map. I understand it will be entirely for my own benefit. I appreciate the thought, sir. Tim P
  2. OK, laugh if you want, but I cannot even get past the first tutorial in CMAK. Every time the officer manages to sneak within visual contact of the Italian mortar, someone takes a potshot at him and he panics and runs screaming straight TOWARDS the enemy. I must have tried 20 times, different locations, sneaky, hidey in the gully ( sorry, wadi,) all along the ridge, even hooking left to attack along the road, but no luck. What on earth am I doing wrong? Any other tutorial-type scenarios out there in CMAKland? Thanks in advance, wunwinglow ww.kipperboxes.co.uk
  3. Is there any news on what the CMX2 tools and capabilities are likely to be? I just started out with this game and realise I am WAYYYY behind you lot! But already I have been a bit frustrated by some of its limitations. Nothing I'm sure that can't be sorted, (matching suitable ground types for modding to beaches, for example) but no doubt just as I finish, the new game will be out and such things will be included anyway! wunwinglow
  4. junk2drive, thanks indeed, Mark Gallear's pages were just exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks! wunwinglow www.kipperboxes.co.uk
  5. Well, this game is addictive, isn't it?! Only had it a week or so and already I want to make my own maps, mods and things, in particular some British D-Day battles. I've d/led and applied several mods (thanks chaps, excellent stuff) but wondered if there are any tutorials, hints and tips etc that you guys could point me at? Or am I just going to have to play the game solidly for 6 months? Mind you, I think I could cope with that.... Has anyone done any Normandy beach assault battles yet? I couldn't find any, but that could be me being a dork. It has been said before. Thanks in advance, wunwinglow
  6. Curses! All the time plucking up the courage to post my first post, and Bannon DC beats me to it! Now I am only the second newest owner of CMAK. The Anthology, actually. 3 progs for £20 in Virgin. It was this or Driving Test Hazard Perception CD. Hmmmm. Did I make the right choice? wunwinglow
