I don't know how Battlefront handles their game releases. This looks to be a pretty complete game. You experienced guys...how do these anouncements relate to a possible release? Does battlefront allow preorders? I don't have a good feel for this at all. Could be days could be months.

On the order of battle screen, when choosing our force makeup what is the advantage or need to purchase command units? Why not just get all full infantry squads because they have more men? Do the command squads provide some help I'm not aware of?

How long after the DEMO can we expect the full game to be ready for download? I havn't seen anything on this.

I am very impressed with 1C's dedecation to this game and the improvement shown even since the Africa game. Anyone who hasn't tried the Demo needs to. It really does run better on my machine than the Africa game and that impresses me the most. Also the graphics and realism are great. I think the combat mission guys could take a few lessons from these Russian boys. I also agree that this series seems to be moving toward being a war game rather that a real time simulation. If I could ask for one thing it would be the ability to play back maybe a minute or two of action during pauses. Thats the only thing I see that the CM series has on this one at present. Don't worry, I own both. With playback it would be the best IMO.
One question....when is the full edition going to be available? I preordered.

I have reordered Kursk and am now worried if my rig can handle it. I say this because I get what looks like pretty low frame rates in TOW2 (high settings)when there is lots of activity on screen ie. smoke, aircraft etc. It kinda chunks along if you know what I mean. Here is what I have:
AMD 2.7 GHz Dual-core, 64 bit
4GB RAM
GeForce 9800 GTX+ superclocked card
When I allow TOW2 to auto set it picks the highest settings.
Also, if anyone has suggestions about what setting seem to run best I would appreciate the advice.

Seems like some time ago there was a patch due for this game. Has that developed further? I don't see much developer participation here. Perhaps Moon knows something.

AS per the patch this can now be modified any way we would like. When I go to the requisite messages file to change reaction to NONE I am not allowed to make the change. I highlight what I want to change but can not delete/change. Could I be in the wrong file?

Well I'm using 32 bit VISTA and have the 9800 GTX+ card.

Well , it happens after I have completed a battle and have saved and then returned later to take up the new battle. After a long load time I go straight to the desk top. It has happened in the american campaign and the Nazi one. Can't get to the next battle.

Oh no... I spoke to soon. Just got the ERROR 14 crash. Please Battlefront.. is there anything you can do at your end?

It looks like this problem has been fixed by the latest nVidia driver (185.85). I have played for 3 hours with no more problems. Thanks to Matt for bubbeling this up to nVidia.
