  4. Today I tried to download, the game a second time, to my laptop. (I will leave tomorrow on a four days trip.) The page seems closed. Is it, and if so why? I never thought I would have this problem since I hoped to receive the CD by now. Before some idiot starts to tell me that I could connect to my desktop or buy one more license, I have to say that I’m NOT at home and I’ve already bought two licenses. And before someone else complains about my language, I’m sorry for it, but it has to be said. I’m just so tired of all these people who destroy this forum with their endless nagging and defending of SC2 and Hubert no matter how correct a question, suggestion or complaint is. I like SC2 as well and think it’s great that Hubert made it possible, but that doesn’t mean that I either worship Hubert or think SC is flawless no matter what. And those of you that feel you just HAVE to answer this thread about anything else then the initial question - DON’T DO IT!!!

  6. Thx a lot Axis_General for you input. I've the PDF and went thru it. Also I know how to access my router. I’m able to run my little network at home and a network printer. But that’s all. Were exactly do I make the changes? In virtual server or? Also, I noticed something strange. The problem only occurs then we try to load a multiplayer game. If we start from the beginning, there is no problem. Strange or is there an explanation for that?
  7. Yogi, it IS not just appropriate to have then. It IS a must then we are talking regimental and even divisional scale. As I said most simulations like "Market Garden" can NOT even be created without in this case roads.

  9. This message pops up in SC2 then my friend and I try to connect to each other. Only once we managed to connect and play after several error messages. Yesterday and today we didn't manage at all. :-( Have anyone had the same problew and/or (even better) got a solution for it?
  10. I just played ”Market Garden” and realised that it’s impossible to simulate without roads. The roads were the key for the allies to secure Arnhem. Then it comes to grand scale I can see the pos and negs, still I’m for it thou, but then it comes to regimental or division size it’s an absolute MUST! Pls, implement roads and rails in a coming patch or the whole tactical editor turns out useless unless you cover areas there were was no infrastructure. Also it could be connected to the infrastructure tech.
  11. Sry, but I get so damn tired of all idiots that all the time comes with more or less stupid defences for flaws in the game. You don't need to guess anything! I know exactly were the routes are, I just DO NOT want to spend unnecessary time with it. Got it?

  15. Fully agree with Sombra, the plunder system is one of the biggest flaws in SC2 besides the horrendous amphibious assault exploiting.
  16. The far most irritating thing then it comes to the interface is that you’ve to switch between the convoy and main map to try to place your subs and/or ships in the right position. Time consuming and still not enough to succeed in placing them right every time. Please Hubert, put the routes on the main map. It could be an on/off button or at least as an option. I guess we can’t edit it ourselves.
  17. Never mind supply in Africa. As Axis you just take Egypt in 3 moves no matter any supply. 1. Make two corps amphibious in Italy 2. Move them to Turkeys south coastline 3. Land one Sinai and then send the other thru Suez and take Cairo. The AI is far to weak. For ex. the UK global fleet you can annihilate within 5 turns in the 1939 senario.
  18. Like (almost) every day in three long years I started the day by checking this page. And NO! Pre-orders were still the boring word to be found. Then checking my mail - and that... - YES!!!!!!!! And since then I'm religious. Thanks Hubert, Battlefront and Co for the downloading option! Also, thank you employer for the years I’ve had a good work - cause on Tuesday I’ll resign. SC2 here I come …
  19. I read that several players had problems with the graphics. Luckily I didn’t. It worked perfectly except one thing I haven’t read yet, so I post it here. The buttons in the reinforcement screen seems to be wrong. They are black/dark for what you can do and lights up for what u can’t do. Shouldn’t it be opposite? I know there r hundreds of opinions, ideas and complaints regarding this game. Most of them are correct, but still it means all of them can be implemented. There is one issue thou that bothers me allot. Planes wiping out ground forces! Enemy air units absolutely, naval units fine and rocket units ok, tank units maybe, but infantry NO. Their strength should be reduced with lets say 25% max and therefore never be able to be reduced to lesser then 2 (2*0.25=0.5 nearest up). Readiness n morale is something else, but only ground forces should be able to clear up enemy infantry units. Last thing – is there any mod for real flags yet?
  20. I've been following this forum for some years(!) now – quietly – and been amazed by the lack of info during periods. Although fully understanding the intensions of “better late and working then …” what is now this I read?!?!?!?!?!? -Game is ready, but download servers aren’t. Should I laugh or cry
  21. All sides during WWII suceeded in fooling their enemies that they had concentrations of troops that was not actually there. It could be thru massive radiocommunication, creating of dustclouds, paper tanks and so on ... Will SC2 give you the chance to use false troops? Most computer games misses this part. Fog of war is great, but this aspect should be cowered just as they are in many board games. They should be limited, have a low cost and be connected to a research level. Highest level means that you won't notice until you actually attack that false unit. Happy New Year!
  22. 1. Will it be retreats at all? 2. If so, can the defender choose to make a planed retreat or will it only be forced ones? For example: Planed retreat orders given during your own turn regarding the comming turn of the enemy, or thru a popup screen with different choises during the enemies turn. 3. If not, lets say due to simulated hex size, will defending units be forced to lose all or a part of its entrancement?
