  1. Intresting to notice that Hubert Carter understod my question directly and came up with a clear and fast answer. I recommend you morons to keep away from my threads here after. Thx!
  2. Thanks for you answer Hubert and your support Augustus.
  3. Please observe that I'm talking about moral and rediness NOT experience, then that is something you gain thru combat. Also this is NOT an issue about equipment. As I heard from Hubert moral will be included in SC2 unlike SC1. So what we're talking about is NOT experienced reinforcements or any of that above, it is just as the original question: Can you buy troops with higer moral? Again I'll point out the fact that they should cost more and take longer time to produce.

  5. To make SC2 an even more realistic WWII simulator it would be a great idea to make it possible to manufacture units with higher moral and readiness from start, of course to a higher cost. Those units should me named from a separate list. (See my previous thread.) This is something almost all PC games so far have missed. This is to reflect for instance the higher moral in SS units and the impact that gave on the WWII battlefield. It should not generate too much of extra work, but give a lot back in gaming experience.
  6. As you replied "it shouldn't take to long to find names on internet", is my point. It adds alot to the game and it's not hard to program. I think it's better to have this done at once instead of having 1000's of players having to do this by themselfs with maybe not to accurat results. Also see my next thread "Elite units?" (Yes, I spelled it wrong.) to understand the full experience this could give to SC2.

  8. We all know that realism adds to the gaming experience. An easy way is thru historically correct unit names. Not only the units present on the map then the games start, but also the units created thru the game. Hearts of Iron (HoI) is a good example. Will this be the case with SC2?
  9. HoI was to tiresome then it came to the time frame. Micromanage every hour in a sex year time span is just to much. Also it was many other problems in the game. We can always hope that Hoi 2 will be improved, but I think SC2 will be better as a grand strategy WWII simulator.
  10. ... before the release date? I don't dare to ask then that will be ...
  11. "One advice if you are playing against humans the allies without a bid have no chance to win at all." I've won several times playing allied. Even smashing Germany with the French army in one game. So, it's not without a chance you can play allied.
  12. This is a quote from the latest news on SC2. Question: So are you saying that I could even make an entire WW2 “whole world” campaign, too? Hubert Carter: YES!
  13. I was not only thinking of bombers when I started this topic. Rockets would most likely have been the choise of Germany. A modified V2 would have been a possible platform, but also remember that they were very close to make an intercontinental missile. The reason it was never build was just a question of priorities, nothing else. If they would have developed an a-bomb it's quite likely that such a three stages missle had been a top priored project. Some of you will now note that the size and weight of the first a-bombs would have made the rocket platform impossible. That was true to the three first USA built. They where rushed and built to be delivered by bombers, but had not to be so. A-bombs is not only a question of how much they can destroy, they should have a great impact on diplomacy as mensioned earlier as well as on troop moral. Since Hubert Carter will add moral to SC2 this could make an a-bomb a powerful wepons in more than one way.
  14. ... be simulated in SC2? Will it be a part of tech development? If a nation have one or more a-bombs, will it affect diplomacy? Like forced peaceagreements and/or capitulations for example? This could add a whole new dimension to the game as well as it could be a reason for a losing nation to keep up the fight in hope for a "secret wepon".
  15. ... will it really be possible to simulate the cold war. For exampel can u set any ranges for the rockets and any dmages done by them to simulate a-bombs?
  16. ... how about the mapsize. Is that fixed or? How big can it be in squares x squares. Will it really be suited to handle the whole world?
  17. Hello, I'm rather new to this forum, but I want to get the developers attention to the following issue. The railroad from Murmansk and the harbour itself was the key to all lend lease support the Soviets received from the western allies. As I understand, from this forum, Murmansk will be off map and the scale makes individual railroads hard to simulate. Anyway, please try to include this in the game. The Finnish and Swedish (voluntary) regiments did reach and destroy a small part of the railroad, but the Soviets built new tracks behind the front to keep the railroad operational. However, this shows how close the Finnish was to actually cut of this life line. How important this was, is shown by the fact that USA even threatened Finland with war if they cut off the Murmansk railroad. Finally, please remember that Field Marshall Gustaf Mannerheim was one of the finest commanders during WWII so rate him high. For information and pictures of Mannerheim see http://www.mannerheim.fi If I can be off any assistance regarding the Swedish military during WWII and/or the Swedish volunteers in Finland don’t hesitate to contact me. Best Regards, Chris
