  1. Very interesting scenario. I have a solution for you : http://www.blog4ever.com/ In this french adress, you may create your own page, as I did. And this page allows you to upload your own files on your page, as a servor : so, you will be able to diffuse your mod. It need 5 minute to create a personal page, not complicated. It's in french but I can help you if wanted. So, if you want not create a page, you may indicate me a e-mail adress : I will contact you and you will send me your files for my personal web page, if you want.
  2. Thanks for this very necessary and easy tool I was desesperated to constate that it was not included in 1.05 patch _______________________________________________ Hum... Sorry for this opinion, but a little deception after trying to use : I though it was the same tool editor script that in patch 1.04 : this "old" tool was very easy to use. This new seems more complicated (I have not a very "high" level in this sort of system). In the old tool, each script had a little flag to indicate what country was concerned, and some of values were replaced by their name, and it was more and more easy to use that original script system. Could we hope to have a 1.05 version of the old tool ? _________________________________________________ Hum...Hum...Hum... Tried to use it and... not understanded. A little "help file" will be necessary, I think. May we hope to have it ? (what gives exactly give this tool in regard of the basic editing with txt files ?) __________________________________________________ Hum...Hum...Hum...Hum...Hum...Hum... Sorry, I am an ass... Because I do not read english correctly, I had not understanded that it was not a tool for making script, but a converting tool. __________________________________________________ Is there any chance we will have in the future a adapted 1.05a version of the very excellent "SC Script Editor v1.01" by ben CG ? (this tool was included in 1.04 patch but unfortunatly, not in 1.05a patch) [ November 23, 2006, 11:24 AM: Message edited by: fantomas ]
  3. I downloaded with great interest the files mods on CMMDS site, but I saw that some of them had not "readme" included. There is a short presentation on the CCMODpage, but when you have downloaded the files, very oft, no readme in the zip file. If you do not at the same time "copy-past" the presentation on the site, you have no readme. So, after time, and with a lot of mods on the "market", users wille be a little desoriented, I think. I have donwnloaded all mods for playing with in the future, but sometimes, without "readme" included, it's difficult to use them correctly. So, I suggest (with respect ) you to include each time a little "readme" in txt format in your "zip" files, with basic informations and short presentation (version of mod, content, version of game, patch,etc...) : I supppose it would be better for users than just a separated presentation on the CCMOD page So, you could write in the txt file the informations you give on the presentation page of CCMOD, it would be more easy for "downloaders". That's what I will try to do for my own mods in the futur. ________________________________________________ What a readme" could be, by sample : Title : Author: Mod/scenario version : Game version (Us, French, German) used for mod/scenario and patch indication : How install : Mode of play (opponent recommanded) : Human Vs AI ? Human Vs Human ? Human side recommanded for playing : Axis ? Allied ? - The both ? Recommended settings/Preferances/options : : Map : eventual modifications or not modifications: That was NOT MODDED : (I;e : 3D unit sprites in a 2D sprites mod) Eventual indications about OOB : Historical indications : General indications : Scripts indications : Technical indications and eventual restrictions : Eventual "House rules" : Duration and victory conditions: Credits: Distribution and use : ____________________________________________ And then, do not say to me that French love bureaucracy : it's true! 7. Founded this info in "infos" patch 1.05 "NOTE ABOUT SCRIPT EDITOR UTILITY FROM VERSION 1.04 - The v1.04 game patch included a user created Script Editing program located in the 'Extras' folder. That program is NOT compatible with version 1.05a of Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and should no longer be used." My question : may we hope a update 1.05 for this very great tool ?
  8. Thanks Other problem I want to indicate : in download patch page, the links to 1.05 reame does not work correctly : it gives the readme of the 1.04 patch. Had Hubert a drink ?

  10. It's not true... Here are my personal icons (for 2D mods, not 3D mods) : But in JPG format, because files are very big. I can find in my "store" all icons that would be needed by modders, I think. Ask me simply and I will post it here in bmp format. http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/8596/terrainsressourcesuc2.jpg
  11. And the last, but not the least : glorious mexican army These icons are extracted of the very great work realized by "Enhanced CWG2 site" for the old game CIVIL WAR GENERAL 2 (now free game) http://cwg2enhanced.com/index.html That's all what I had !
  12. Material for US Independance war mods or 18th century wars mods These icons are extracted from the great work realized by "Lutern", a russian player of CIVIL WAR GENERAL 2, for this game http://syw-cwg.narod.ru/SYW_scnE.html
  13. Other icons for American civil war (ships and guns) BMP formet -Getit with right clik (save as Bmp) Note that these images are not free : you have to send me 75 cents per pixel to use it (may be reduction 25% for old gamers)
  14. Hera are somes misc. icons, extracted from the game Rise of Nation publicity : Now, you have to work hard !
  15. Here are 3D sprites for those who want realize Napoleonic mods. BMP Format -get it with right clik These icons are extracted of the very great work realized by "Enhanced CWG2 site" for the old game CIVIL WAR GENERAL 2 (now free game) http://cwg2enhanced.com/index.html [ November 22, 2006, 12:58 AM: Message edited by: fantomas ]
  16. 3D Modern icons in bmp format(Get it with right clik)
  17. Here are bitmap icons 3D for those who want to realize "antic mods" (Rome,etc...). The image is in bmp, so you can get it directly here by right clik. I added a german unit icon, to indicate the scale (same as 3D icons in the game) I have extracted these icons of the game : Rise of Nations. Modders interrested by antic times mods will find all necessary for 3D icons towns, forts, etc... in other game : "Civilization III" (if they have "XnWiev" , because the files are tga files). Here are 3D icons for American Civil War (In bmp format : can get it with right clik). They come from the old game : Civil War General 2.
  18. I tried to do , but my files were refused because they were "winrar" files and not zip (winzip) files. The problemn with Winzip is that this program "takes" all association files on my PC when I install it and it is not very easy to work with winzip and winrar installed on the same PC. Other problem : when you want to uninstall winzip, you receive a message that says to you that all your zip files will be suppressed (this problem does not exist with Winrar). In general, I think that using winrar is more easy. I used winzip before to discover winrar, but I would no return to winzip. If winrar files would be accepted on CMMOD, I would with pleasure send my mod files
  19. Roads affect the both movment and supply. They are terrains The tip is : Roads in Falklands = original Quatar depression Moutains and forest in Falklands are : original mountains Marsh and rough in Falklands = original forest Short moor and peat bogs (sorry for bad translation, perhaps...) in Falklands (80 % Falklands terrain) = original marsh
  20. I added 4 ressources (by mistake) in the thread "Tips", and they would have to be placed here. Sorry
