KillerTomato replied to ChrisND's topic in Strategic Command 2 Scenario and Mods Forum
Indeed very very strange. I have never seen this in any game i've played. only thing different than usual is that i save my russian mpp's and bought 10 corps in one turn after PT reached 3 -
Axis AI script set 90% complete
KillerTomato replied to ChrisND's topic in Strategic Command 2 Scenario and Mods Forum
Hi Normal Dude Just finished a game against the version 3 you send me. Here is a small AAR Polend falls after 3 turns 31 December 39 dow on Benelux and Denmark in winter turn, both countries survive and can be reinforced to max April 7 1940 benelux -> axis June 2 denmark axis, i stopped reinforcing cause it took axis to long. June 30 italy axis Spain at 52% August 18 france down, spotted amphibs in Antwerp Sept 22 Spain -> Axis Oktober 6, still 2 ampibs in Antwerp port Dec 1 1940 Gibraltar lost Dec 15 1940 Norway lost. Nice invasion with 3 amphibs. To bad they atleast 2 loaded in Antwerp, but this is a known issue Dec 29, Just noticed ussr at 88% !!!! How can that be??? Axis has Poland, Benelux, Denmark, France, Italy ( joined ) Spain ( Joined ), Hungary( Joined ), Gibraltar & Norway Jan 26, Axis Dow sweden COOL, but i think stupid Feb 23 1941 USSR Joines allies. Game over i guess. Only 2 Axis units at Russian border 2 tanks and 10 corps in USSR Production queue Conclusion: Very aggresive AI, but how the ^*%$## can russia join so early in 1941. Dow on sweden was with 1 army, 1 AF and Para's, No HQ so i guess hopeless. No reinforcements either. I send you a same game so you can look at the positions -
Diplo problem with patch?
KillerTomato replied to Rolend's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
diplo worked fine for me -
Hi there First of all, the game is much better after this first patch, thx Hubert. However i do feel there are things missing. Here are my first observations. Plz ppl enter yours. - BEF did not evacuate from Brest eventhough i gave it ample oppertunies. - AI made a very nice invasion in Vichy Algeria. However, with no HQ and no follow up units, so couple of unsupported armies + tank wasted! - same goes for D-Day. No HQ support, so hammer time. - RN in the Med is not used. Sitting ducks for the Italians. Why not send some home fleet units overthere? - AI never goes for a concentrated series of attacks on 1 unit. Instead of attacking 1 weak tank/army etc with full force and destroying it it attacks multiple enemies. - AI still pullsback out of well entreched positions without any need. - AI does not buy back destroyed units. Serious issue - Russians did not invest in infantrie weapons - AI does not reclaim reseach chits when max reseach level is reached - Russia & USA did only invest in 1 chit in IT, USA also only 1 in PT - Instead of fortifying positions with expensive engineers, Russian AI throws them right on the frontline at the end of the turn. Engineers bought but not used propperly - No use of diplomacy by allies Cheers KillerTomato [ June 05, 2006, 09:00 AM: Message edited by: KillerTomato ]

ETA for offical patch?
KillerTomato replied to breezeri's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
Fellow tomato For me the destruction of Dresden was not only unnecessary, it was a pure act of evil. As was the bombing of Hamburg, Berlin, Rotterdam, Warshau, London etc, etc. I am sure DD feels the same. btw i was born in Rotterdam. -

Dutch army
KillerTomato replied to KillerTomato's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
Wow i love how a simple remark ends up in a historical discussion:D I'm just concerned about playability. Would be nice if you could evac dutch army. Germans then have to consider taking out the port or through all forces in attack. anyway, thx for the history lessons -
