  1. Hubert, Thanks for the reply, I know this is a busy time and I appreciate you taking the time. If that (Windowed option) can be added in a patch I would grateful as I'm sure some others would be! Craig
  2. There is a known issue on some systems when you attempt to switch focus away, i.e. an ALT-TAB, during the AI animation turn. Can you confirm that this is not the case? In general though if you do not switch focus away during AI replay the game should run fine. If it is just a general lost surfaces error can you retry the download as perhaps it was corrupt. </font>
  3. I posted on the League site and have gotten 5 to 10 email's and keep 3 or 4 going all the time. I'm always up for another if your interested! Craig
  4. Well I'm not sure people are still keeping track BUT Rannug and his Axis fiends have defeated me. I tried to run to North America and fight until the bitter end but the power of air is much greater than the power of ground. Good fun game Rannug! Craig
  5. Quote "Prediction: CraigRS Wins" I can't handle the pressure!!
  6. Another for the list..............285-963-052 I'm always up for PBEM and most of the time for IP. Thanks! Craig
  7. I'm in the US. Finding a game for me seems to be the hardest thing. I have tons of time against the CPU but I'm sure human players aren't as predictable. Not really up on ICQ, allthough I know what it is. I have email, obviously, and an MSN messenger account.
  8. If you guys need a REALLY green recruit I'd be in for either TCP/IP or PBEM. I've never played against another person but hey someone has to be cannon fodder.... Craig
  9. According to what I have seen the map of europe is to scale. If that is the case adding or subtracting NA would not change a thing.
  10. In fact the lack of a "world" map is even more disappointing than the ISO view to me. Well that and the Blitzkrieg name, over used.
  11. I say keep North AMerica on the map! I always thought of SC as a game about WWII, not a replay of it. Just because the Germans never invaded North America is no reason it can't happen in the game. The never invaded England so should that be gone as well? Part of the fun is being able to decide your own outcome to a war that started in Europe but who says it has to end there? If you want play to remain historical the the Allies win everytime so why play? Just my $.02.........
  12. I second Holyman "Top-down AND hexes is what i want!" Is the map even that much bigger either? A lot of people mention how much bigger it is but it doesn't look that much bigger. It looks zoomed in but to me it doesn't look that much bigger. Sorry didn't menan to get off topic....
  13. I don't think anyone will question the quality or bravery of the troops but do they fit in a game of this scale and scope? I say no but they will add to the fun never the less!!
  14. I like the idea and think they will add some strategy elements. I do agree though that it really doesn't fit in withe the scale of SC. If you were to tell me the units are division size and bregade size then they fit very well.
  15. Marklavar---you said "needs a 'hook' to draw buyers in"-- That sounds like a saying I use about Mac's-- If you can't sell them on substance, sell them on style! I sure hope that is not the intent here, nor do I think it is. I do however think some things will be sacrificed for the "new look". The new look takes time, which is money, which Hubert only has so much of to develope the game. For me the isometric view doesn't work and the squares over hex's doesn't work. I don't think there is any way we can do anything but trust Hubert does as good as we all know he can and maybe by SC3 he'll come to his senses
  16. Thanks for the kind words Jersy. I thought when I first saw the info on the new game I should take the time to speak up because this is one of those games (SC1) that I love so much I'll play it for years to come. Because of that I want SC2 to be all it can be and if I wanna complain about what I don't like better to do it now rather than later. Who knows, if a lot of people feel the same as me maybe we, I, can help mold the game. Craig
  17. I would have to agree withe two comments her. One is that this seems like it would make it easy to punch a hole in the lines and two that it will make you think about your own lines when the counter attack comes in the next turn. It seems the "Blitzkrieg" part of the title can come into play here. Also, thanks to Hubert for taking time to read these fourms and try to address the concerns of the fans. It's easy to say you care but not many people take the time to show it.
  18. Well by score I mean the score they give you at the end of the game. I too look to see how fast I can conquer certian countries and try many different stratiges. I'm really asking just to see where I sit compared to others. I scored a personal best of 322 the other day buy I have no idea if that is high or low. I'm sure a lot depends on how you play though.
  19. Not sure if anyone reads this fourm now that the SC2 fourm is open but..... When playing the Fall Wiess campaign as the Axis against the computer, what is considered a good score? Since all I have ever played is the cpu and never asked I don't know where I land. Just that I doubt my scores are as high as most people here. Craig
  20. I think to be able to play in a windowed mode would be nice. ALT-TAB can be slow sometimes in SC1 when the boss walks in. LOL!
