  1. I've noticed that the troops wont fire their javelins at bunkers or buildings when they have only one javelin left. When I did the training all the guys fired all but one javelin leaving one bunker intact. None of them would fire the last javelin and then I tried again targetting the bunkers first and then the guys shot all the remaining javelins at the tanks so they had none left. Go figure.
  2. I hadn't installed that one it seems and it did the trick. Never had any problems earlier with other games but glad it helped! Now to play!
  3. During the briefing and unit placement phase I keep hearing every troop saying different things combining to a true sound chaos. The graphics seem to do some sort of "waves" during the setup phase. Also the soldiers seem to be switching from a stance where they stand with their arms at their side to a T-like stance and back all the time. About one second per stance. Then when I try to press play the game hangs. Tried to play 3 times with realtime but didnt try the turn based yet. So in short at least the RT is unplayable in my computer which has a setup of: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.13ghz 2GB 667mhz RAM Asus GeForce 8800GTS 640mb Win XP 32bit Same thing happened when I tried to play with turn based mode. I have all my drivers & OS updated including the brand new nvidia ones; version 162.18.

  5. The download is ON! I'm at 41% down now.
  6. Yayy... and the forums blew up too! Well anyways it's about time and thank you!
  7. From the looks of it they'll probably bring down the pre-ordering soon and then let the people who buy after that download before the guys who pre-ordered do. I hate this waiting.
  8. I too agree that this launch has been poorly planned and/or executed. You'd think pre-ordering means you'll be among the first to receive the game which definitely is not the case here. There's nothing we can do about it but to watch and wait for that email to arrive telling us that we can finally go and download. All those extra stuff in my deluxe edition have gotten a bittersweet taste to it now.
  9. I think the problems with Vista have been mostly with the 64bit version and the dual core problems should be fixed in the patch for those who have the paradox version and the rest of us who will download from BFC will get the most recent version so no patch for those.
  10. If you dont have that confirmation mail of the order chances are that your order didnt go through.. I'd email sales@battlefront.com ASAP before the pre-order goes dead and you will miss all those goodies were getting. The link to the download is in the confirmation email of the purchase. But sure, there will be a new email later telling when its open.
  11. Sergei is on a roll on reviving VERY old threads....
  12. You will get an email notifiaction once the download is ready.. and you can sit tight since it will probably be another 20-28hrs before the download is opened.
  13. hey.. thanks! it's been a while since the last update from nvidia..
  14. that description tells just about nothing. try to figure out the model of your gfx card at least. altho I dont think you're even close. Just click the pre-order link to see the minimum specs.
  15. afaik the only official info about release is that its on july 27th and US time. As you can see from the time of the posts here on these forums its still very early morning 26th july.. so I'd figure it will be another 24hrs or so at least.
  16. I just love the way everything stays on topic in these forums...
  17. And that often resulted the demo not being a real representation of the game since many times the game developed further after the demo was released. Also there were not that many money mad publishers around making you release a game before its finished. So as many modern games published have patches coming out in the first few days after release, you would like the dev teams to spend time doing a demo, away from making a game actually playable? It's all about prioritising.
  18. Deluxe edition pre-ordered yesterday. Okay I've got a quick question about the download.. As stated the download will be opened on 27th but no information anywhere at what time. Has this been decided yet? I don't want to miss a minute when its available!
  19. I just did 2 things that SEEM to have fixed the problem. 1. I un-overclocked my comp back to 700mhz AND 2. I remembered that some games had issues with older soundcards having DirectX hardware acceleration on, so I turned off my DX hardware acceleration for my soundcard I went playing after I posted the earlier post and I just came back with no freezes or crashes. I'll report back if I get more freezes but they SEEM to be gone for now...
  20. I'm having the same problem with CMAK, I can't remember if I had the same problem with CMBB since i never much played these games but now I "rediscovered" these from my brothers CD-collection. I can play for a while, sometimes longer sometimes not, then the game just completely freezes and the whole computer locks up. I have to press reset to reboot, nothing else works. Sound goes to a loop and nothing else happens. Im have: AMD Athlon Thunderbird 700mhz (running @770mhz) Creative Geforce 3 Ti200 256mb RAM Gigabyte GA-7ZXR (rev1.0) motherboard (VIA KT133) Integrated soundcard (Creative CT5880 PCI sound chip) Windows XP PRO SP1
