  1. These r my system specs :

    SIS K7S6A mainboard

    AMD 1800 Mhz processor

    1 gig of memory ; 1 512 MB stick ; 2 256 MB stick

    Radeon 9600 SE grafics card

    37 gig hard drive

    3 12.5 V fans

    400 Watt power supply

    Nothing is overclocked.

At first when I installed the 512 MB stick the comp would run for only 5 minutes and then it would restart. The funny thing is when I rearranged the sticks now it runs for a couple hours before restarting. I thought that it was over heating so I installed 2 fans , 1 sucking air in and the other blowing the hot air out , and I installed a clip on heat sink on the 512 MB stick. After I turned of the comp and touched the stuff inside everything was cold except for the power supply. I know that the memory sticks aren't broken because the comp runs if only one is installed. That leads me to belive that the power supple can't handle the memory being doubled and it over heats , because after the comp restarts it doesn't run for very long , but if I leave it alone for some time it runs for a couple of hours again. So what should I do? Get a new power supply? Better cooling ? , but I don't think so since 3 fans + the power supply fan is enough. Should I install the heat sinks on the other memory sticks? Or do all of that? Plz help.

  2. i think there's a bug if you're playing against forces from more than one nationality. was that the case here?
No it was just Brits against my Germans.

What was your ammo level? How many squads were out of ammo? What was your morale level?
The morale level was 86% or sumfink around that.

I think that the lowest ammo level was in my flanking platoon, which was 3 or 5 shots, no "LOW" ammo levels. I still had another platoon which I was usning for suppresing fire which had half their ammo left and I was gonna bring that up to finish of the Brits.

  3. But I wish CM would ask before autosurrendering. I like wiping out the last defenders, or trying to put together a heroic defense myself. And sometimes it's downright stupid. Sometimes you save your ammo and take the losses in order to get closer in, then the other side runs out of ammo and before you can have a proper go at them it auto surrenders.
No it wasn't a surrender it was a cease fire. In the AAR it said "both sides agreed to a cease fire" , not "Allied forces surrendered to you".

I wouldn't complain if they had surrendered instead of the stupid ceasefire.

  4. Why?! Why?!? I'm 40m away from the small flag and less than 200m from the big one. I have a company of infantry no panicked units , (18 casualties) , a 150mm howtizer , 2 mgs , and 20 minutes untill the battle ends. AI has 1 mg (being in the process of being blasted with the 150mm) , 2 unpanicked squads and less than a platoon of routed squads. I didn't press the ceasefire button so why is there a ceasefire? They could kill 1/3 of my troops and I would still have enough troops to overrun them. So why the ****?

This **** has to be fixed in the next patch.

  5. By router do u mean a DSL box ? As in a box with a USB port , phone line port , and a "local network" (FireWire ?) port ? I have that. And can sumbody please tell me what's an internal IP is?

  6. I have 3 suggestions for CMXX :

    1. I'd like for it to happen in Vietnam/Cambodia.

    2. Have a diffrent kind of modding where u actualy change the game's code so that u can have diffrent units or terrain tiles or new commands. U can redo a whole game like that and actually make it muuuuuuuch better. Anyone who has played Desert Combat (a mod of BF1942) knows that.

    3. A multiplayer system with servers like other games and with more than 2 ppl and a chain of command. 1 player is randomly appointed Company CO and other guys LTs. Each LT has a platoon to command and sum supporting weapons and these r the only units they can command. The Company CO tells the LTs where to move their platoons and if they "disobey orders" they will be "relieved of their command" (kicked of the server) by the AI or the Company CO. And after u get kicked u have to watch a slide show of ur courtmartial and ur prison cell or ur execution. :D:D And u have to read a letter that describes ur actions and points out how pathetic and stupid u r. :D:D:D:D:D

  7. Just 3 little questions :

    1. I have 2 ips , 1 internal 1 external right?

    2. Internal ip is used to communicated with the isp and the external 1 is to communicate between the isp and other servers right?

    3. If u have a static ip do u have a separate internal and external ip?

  8. No commandos though, or OSS, or Gestapo, or MP units.

What , no Gestapo?! :( I'd just luuuuuuuuuuuuv to have em to take care of PoWs escaping when friendlies get close...

    P.S.

They've also got British LRDG (later SAS) special forces in N. Africa (though I can't recall precisely what they're called in-game)

They do have em in CMAK? R u sure u don't mean the "Recon Assault" platoons? Cause I couldn't find any LRDG platoons...

    P.P.S.

Wouldn't it be cool if Commando units had special abilities like they can't be "noise spotted" unless they open up , and they have silenced Sten SMGs (that r hard 2 hear) or sticky bombs (I think all alied untis should have em). And instead of the idiot sharopshooters u have snipers that actualy get 1 kill for 1 shot. Wouldn't it be also nice to have motor boats for water assaults on birdges or for quick getaways. Speaking of bridges what about special demolition squads with extra powerful explosives and knowledge of where exactly to place em so that they can take out a heavy bridge with 1 shot?

Just my 2 cents on what abilities Commando units should have if they r added to CMAK in patch 1.02

  9. Yes there r. What u have to do is click on the tank and press enter. In the window it shows penetration ability at diffrent ranges and with diffrent kinds of ammo. There's also a table that shows how thick the armor is at diffrent places on the tank. U compare to that to an enemy tank's penetration vaule at the range the tank is away from urs. If the penetration value is higher than the thickness of the armor ur tank is pretty much dead. Hope this helps ;)

  10. Just another little question : why is it only in CMBB? I'm sure that they had sewers in the Mediterranean theater too , so why not put it in CMAK? Currently I have an ongoing pbem where I'm defending as Italians, in a town, East Africa, where I was forced to withdraw my troops from my right flank. Most of his platoon is in light buildings and there's a tall heavy building behind them with a routed squad in it. I'd love to move (through sewers) a MMG and a pioneer squad in there and [EVILLAUGHTER] catch em in the open ground when they're advancing in my old positions and when they take cover inside buildings my mighty Roman Legionares would use their TNT.[/EVILLAUGHTER]

  11. Yes an HQ unit can spot for a mortar if it's within command range. If the HQ unit can see it the mortar that it's spotting for u can area fire it, but since u can only area fire it doesn't work against moving units but a 3inch mortar is rape vs. a gun or, a mortar, or an HMG :D . If u do that ur infantry isn't gonna panick that much. U could do that in CMBO too.
