  2. LOS in CM work great even smoke screen work great in game. One thing I wonder even camouflage work well as same as effect as smoke effect on sighting. I wonder how does CB soldier see different between whitewashed tank and unwhitewashed tanks in snow landscape in long distance? German soldiers have camouflaged uniforms however does it work in CB to make enemy soldiers difficult spot them in distance? I wonder if I try paint mod in clown outfit color and put in long distance to see if enemy will able see clown much easy than camouflaged soldier? LOL :Dtongue.gif

  3. I agree with some members about effect of HMG. I had noticed armor cars' effect when large cab. machine gun hit them. That mean MG34/42 HMG won't work but 50. cal/12.7mm HMG will work. I think best thing to attack tank from second floor is drop bundle of grenade or Molotov cocktail even firing rifle grenade at top of tank. I feel bad for minor power don't have better anti-tank weapon as only pioneer soldier carry nbr explovies.

    I sometime wonder which members of crew wound or killed if MG firing at rear of opened rear AFV. T/O or gunner or loader? I believe driver may safe due to deep inside of tank.

I had been wonder if in real world, generals prefer keep building intact for shelters even will cost to force enemy out building or go ahead and blast buildings out with big cannons or flamethrowers. I still bother why generals feel must send sqds fight in by floor and floor then by room by room in urban/city. I could have seige around town and use rest of good soldiers to go keep toward as use "security force" to siege the "pocket" town with enemy soldiers inside.

    Sometime I was tempting to ordering tank to turn small building into rubble to be safe to send units arcoss field without machinegunning by hidden MG in that building even sometime it was empty. Should that cost victory point for use up good HE ammo even lost good shelter or have food/warming clothes inside for their need. Should we bring up that topic to new game CM-X2 to use victory points for intact buildings?

  7. I had know Michael Wittmann prefer unbutton due to quick spotting anti-gun nests and able direct firing much quick.

    Also Tanks vs snipers on battlefield in real world are very rarely due to tanks' fast movement unless assult direct. if create quick battle and always add snipers will be ficition unless history show proof that there will be always have snipers everywhere. I think I better search websites and buy some books about WWII snipers to see if we can create/edit some scenarios to more histortic event with snipers. I always wonder myself if some soldiers used to do wildlife hunters for living/hobby before war and able to pick targets up in long range with iron sight like Sgt. York did it in WWI.

  9. It may be old topic but not easy find question/answer via search in this forum so I bring it up. I am sorry but may good question. Will HMG able to penetration thin armor on top of tanks from second floor building. If I use anti-tank rifle, it will show chart of range/penetration against thicknes of armor but HMG not show it. Can anyone bring old news/chart or new one for CM up for us. Thank you.

  10. Other thing drive me feel incertitude to send ant-tank crews to two-men crew tanks like T-70 after sniper fired at T/C as not sure if T/C already annihilated. It happen to me with 10 of T-70 sit idle around so I keep crew hidden for any unsee enemy tanks until end of games and I found all T/C was annihilated. I noticed sniper didn't earn any score on his kill board! I wish I can send ant-tank crew to earn score for destroy tanks as same thing for snipers.

    How will I know sniper never missed? Will I noticed miss by see T/C and single soldier still stand after missed or will dive to ground when sniper miss them? Will we never know snipers score his/her kill unless he/she annihilated whole "crew/sqd"

  11. I wish that I can give command to sniper that will target only commanders. I don't want put sniper into "hidden" and wait for Icon go change into HQ before open fire at next turn. Sometime in middle of turn, icon become solid HQ then go back to icon as turn end that I can not give command to sniper to fire at HQ. I wish that next patch will give Al more smart and have good judgment like smart sniper will line up and shoot at importand targets (leaders) to destroy moral of emeny soldiers.

    Okay...Are there any sound made on battlefield that may don't used warning label for example: Sound of soldiers movenemt in different speed? Sound of tank/AC moving in different speed even can tell different between type? Sound of FT? Sound of commander of tank being hit by sniper firing, before buttom up (need to know if score a hit)? I had see icon show up as it said "infanty sound" but what sound was? Are they cough or laugh or just stroll that what I was talk about? what does enemy firing their weapons like rifle or handgun or MG or deadly SMG. I need to know before I take risk to assult it's poistion or call up heavy weapon to fire at area. It happen to me as my squad got hit bad so I had to call several squads away from importand goal and assult "hidden and firing enemy" and it turn out it was tank crew armed with just pistols. I lost some good turns and plenty of my units reveal their poistions to other hidden emeny units and hits our untis bad. That's why I need to know what worth targets are by listen their weapon. I found most dangerous "hidden" target which is so fool to assult hidden enemy is SMG squad. Is that fact you hearing players have upper hand over deaf player with kind of sounds?

    Good idea however sometime when I send unit in assult mode into wood against emeny under wood that I don't know if my unit find enemy under wood due to block view unless I hit "tab" and "1" that I end up narrow view that I don't know how my other units doing that I have to check each units for any hit before make next turn. I can use "Shift T" however I may feel naked and may not fair for able see enemy as they may unable find tree hide behind tree and will go kneeing and beg me "Please do not act like god when playing with us" LOL!
  15. I noticed that everyone talk about what sizes of "canister" like ping pong or grape or maybe honeybee (LOL). Texans at Alamo don't care about what sizes "pellet" is but they stuffed silverwares and jagged piece of metal into cannon then fire at emeny as they assulted to their fort made of mud. "Remember the Alamo" I bet that Texan yell "fork in your eyes"

  16. I remembered read a book long time ago that in early stage STUG and PZ III will have to careful aim for KV's other weakness point is driver's visor hole. I think it was in Wittmenn's story in book. If you must see proof by give name of author and title then I have to go to storage unit to look for that book in boxes. I wish I can bark order to gunner by tell him "aim that visor hole" in CMBB! Also I read stories that PZ III have to run around fast and blank shot at rear of KV-1 but I tried and always not work well in CMBB. I wonder if they can create program mod that if KV-1 roll around unbottom with commander stand up as closer hidden enemy fast shot him out and climb up tank then drop grenade into open hatch. I had read that Wittmenn able pitch grenade into open hatch of emeny tank in close distance. Maybe create program MOD that only "elite" and "crack" can do that against open hatched tank to destroy with better result against odd. Also maybe add new program that may score hit on driver's visor of KV tanks (weak point)

Is any way I can setting game or add MOD that will give caption texts or "ballons" when CMBB produce sound like "Ka-boom" or rat-ta-ta-ta or mortar/shells whisting oherhead or plane's engine roaring as attacking and more like that? Is German's MG firing in CB make certain sound that sound like tearing canvas up? I know it will look like comic books but more animation. What do you think? I wish I will able to know what's sounds that should alert me when play CMBB and soon to have a CMAK
