Doesn't matter if feel threat, Jeep could be happy-trigger. Yes, It is like Buck Fever (American's Lingo)

That don't make a whole hill o' beans worth of sense really. Read it till it does ;)

If you don't want your troops to open fire put a "cover arc" command on them at about the 40m mark and when they get in range, if any of them are still alive, then they will open fire.

Yes, I almost add cover arc command on this message. I enjoy used cover arc for SMG only sqd and put it in hide mode, it quick destroy enemy sqd in maxium firepower range. It remind me of spider with trapdoor. I also used "cover arc" command for HDQ team as I don't want it open fired up that will draw enemy to attack hdq. If only one SMG in 10 men then I leave it open fire in long range and let smg happy trigger firing away. Oh really about sound file, what's bummer for me as I am deaf! I was think of get mouse that vibration when make sound. I also may wear headphone with high bass and tremble so I can tell different between type of weapons that firing.

that's more than a prototype ,for me , a rare weapon ,sure , but not a prototype

ps : some mods for this particular weapon were made for CMBB (they work with CMAK too) the only problem is they replace the MG 34 graphic in game (LMG)

send me if u want the files. ;)

After I read some message, I see that most saw in action was at Italty. I agree that should be at CMAK only. Graphic of FG 42...I will try my best find it. It may be easy to shrink in size...I think we better ask MOD expert like Andrew Fox to see he he like to do for us.

After I see members try tell different between assault gun and auto rifle, I check word in Merriam-Webester...Guess what? It said:

    "Main Entry: assault rifle

    Function: noun

: any of various automatic or semiautomatic rifles designed for military use with large capacity magazines"

"Because German Fallschirmjagers (Paratroopers) often lacked supporting weapons during operations, the FG-42 was developed to give each individual paratrooper more firepower. A cross between a light machine gun and an assault rifle, the gas-operated FG-42 could be fired ingeniously single- shot with a closed rifle bolt or full automatic with an open bolt.

The FG 42 also featured a bipod, an attachable bayonet, and a 20 round box clip that was fitted above the trigger on the left side of the weapon. The side location for the clip however was found to snag on equipment and to unbalance the gun when it was fired.

Overall, the FG42 was a brilliant design whose development would lead to the creation of the MP-44 and assault rifles as they are known today. Because of the complex nature of the FG 42, manufacturing the weapon was difficult. Only 7,000 FG 42s were produced before war's end. " http://www.magweb.com/sample/sbwire/sbw22fal.htm

Check this full page of website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FG-42 "...even more advanced self-loading rifle...Statistics * Weapon Type: Assault Rifle..."

So both of you are right as "Auto Rifle" and "Assault Rifle" unless firearm experts can tell us what exact word for FG 42.

Look like it was a worth topic to discuss about early "assault rifle" as which one was truth first one or almost one as which are cross between light machine gun and assault rifle. :D

    Cheers

  4. I wonder how to measure rarity on Handgranate 43 (German bundle grenade with 7 Stielhandgranate)? Is Handgranate 43 come in kit to make with Stielhandgranate or direct from factory? I wonder because it may be so difficlt to walk/march on battle field carry Handgranate 43 for a day or more. Is Handgranate 43 usually carry in HT or truck or whatever until soldiers grab them when need them? I hope that anyone can tell us how they can carry them without use hand to hold it due to need use both hand to fire their rifle/SMG.

  5. I now suspected after read some of good answers from you guys, I believed that may when Russian ( I mean Soviet in WWII era) caught off guard when German invasion that force to gear production up to produce defensive machine only. I noticed many war machine in pre-war are in sort of offensive machine like high speed tanks. Same with German build "blitz" machine like PZ II and III for offensive mode. One person mention about 3 feet snow, I see his point about difficult move weapon without small "tractor" even I think they don't have much trasport planes as they may busy build most fighter/bombers until they get DC-3 from lend-lease. Yea, in late year both side change their mode of build machine from defensive to offensive as other side change offensive to defensive. Thank you for answer that questions as may help other people too.

$10? Not so bad. I agree with you that will be good for scenario maker. I usually aviod buy books online who wrote by non-military. I had see plenty of books wrote inaccrute due to authors have to lie to make money. I usually go to book stores to flip pages. I will check that one you told us. Thank you!
  7. About throw distance, I guess that is for CM code to coded on range different than reality stuff measure by how skill and strenght of soldiers. Yeah, I agree how stress under weapon firing over your head. I wonder if WWII era's boot camps use real ammo firing over and around soldiers as they doing assult drilling? Also I wonder how soldier's mind and feel when assult tank? I wonder maybe exact feeling of hunter excite when target dangerous animal or feel excite when reel big fish in? I used work as loss pervention officer which catch shoplifters, that exact feel rush as close and catch shoplifter. I used to have feel more excite and wonder how danger person is when have to catch man who is much bigger than me. (he is football player that time I caught him) I had feel that some of you members had feel in past or now as soldiers in drill or on battlefield do something dangerous action.

  8. I had noticed when I play "Air Assult" battle in CMBB. I send two men anti-tank crew to flak site as MG34 firing at it to keep enemy crew's head down. With "20" ammo on hand Anti-tank crew fire away at 7 men Flak crew in blank-point 3m distance and all ammo gone in one min as no kill score. Good news is flak crew never get up for next 20 mins. As in near end game, I decide to send 10 men squad to flak site to help anti-tank crew, sudden that cause flak crew get up and run away as 10 men sqd get near to flak site. ...yeah, flak crew didn't made to safe. I wonder how can make them in "captured" even they didn't make any move for next 20 mins. I will check info how make enemy surrender without force kill them.

After I read many members' messages about how far soldier can throw heavy object. Well, most of soldiers are in 19-25 yrs old and had been work out at boot camp even have training how to throw/place grenade/satchel in proper way to get better accrute so they are much do well than computer geek's strenght and power throw. I had see ranchhands throw bales of hays so far away even throw high as pile up and up in perfect arrangment.
  10. Oh...well I guess soldiers in CM only see not color or black/white as only see is "001001100011010" I learned that if two players play use different mod then only player see is his own mod but not other player. That's bummer! Is any other war game that use different mod in online? I only know one is IL2!

I wonder if CM-X2 will able use different MOD when play online that other players will see different instead of same old MOD?
