  1. Yep, the fall of the UK Navy & Minors was planned from the start, no resources were put in them, all that was expected was to cause damage to IJN which they did, even sunk a destroyer which was not expected.

China holds on barely but Communist China cuts off an army up north from supply and hopes to kill it at 0 supply.

NZ was left empty from the beginning, this you can call it beta testing, as I said I never looked at the scripts and wanted to know what happens if the Capital is taken (the AI never did in my testing), not much really... just some Australian units popping up. How much plunder did you get Colin?

Lucky is Japan in Burma... over 1 year of turns and rain all the time on my turns. Still I have a significant force gearing up for a fight and we take the northern most Burmese village without resistance, no mpp value but it helps with supply.

  2. Yes UK takes heavy naval losses, as fully expected, we do manage to destroy one IJN destroyer, we damage another and we know every IJN loss is heavy.

We take back the last town in India, UK shows mobility technology (aka motorization in SC2 ETO) that should help significantly in Burma. Still tons of rain in November... not ONE clear turn in a year so far.

China is getting pummeled hard but two more units pop up... ready to die!

  3. Peking still holds as one army shows up, 10mpps a turn now.

Time for UK to get busy with that new tech, we try and sink a Jap sub but he dives on the final attack, I expect my destroyers to be DESTROYED next turn by a waiting IJN... I expect that, I was just hoping for at least one sub sunk!

    More troops arrive in India.

  4. September... China is in trouble with all that air power against it.

One partisan is destroyed but if forced 4 units to move back and Peking is still liberated with a full strength partisan and producing 9mpps.

A UK sub moves close to the Burma convoy lanes but the IJN is defending it and will surely destroy it next turn now that it was intercepted by a destroyer.

More troops arrive in India... secret technology was not put into play this turn.

USA... fall should be a time of US presence, somewhere =) .

  5. Yep, China is dying but a very slow death, hopefully making Japan feel pressed for time.

Japan does not secure a couple of key cities and guess what... TWO partisan units pop up, one on each city. Goes to show that Colin has not studied the scripts so my hat off to him for playing this "blind" and discovering these little issues as the game progress. That is how I did it, so far I have not looked at the scripts once.

In Burma we move forward but the jungle was going to be a pain but we have a surprise on the way... next turn Colin will see it.

USA... "be very very quiet" .

  6. I honestly don't feel like arguing with you again. Greed is a major emotion of the human race so if you remove it who knows where we would stand collectively as humans on this earth today.

I still would love to test the theory... worst thing would be Humans get wiped out. I am sure mother nature would grieve ;) .

  7. arado234, I get your point however you would be pushing me a bit if it was your way to condense what thetwo said which was an excellent set of posts by him.

Blashy, I highly dobut that "greed will kill us all" and I believe greed is one part of nationalism and war, but I will NEVER accept it as being anymore then just one part of it.

Just look at the begining of everything evil and greed is the overall cause.

Remove that emotion from humans and you pretty much have a perfect world.

  8. It is impossible for Japan to win in this game... you can NOT defeat the enemy. All you can do is take as much land as you get, ramp up your MPPs and then plan how you will survive by holding key points until the end date and THAT is the victory, getting the Allies to agree to peace terms on equal grounds.

SC2 ETO should be like that as well because there was NO chance Germany could defeat USA/USSR/UK. But they could have prepared for the onslaught and held on long enough to hold on to extra land and sue for peace and keep that land. I have a mode that does just that, much more realistic than the default one.

I am so happy Bill went the realistic route for PTO.

  9. July 1942

So UK retakes 2 of the 3 cities taken in East India, finally the Allies get their first kill of a Japanese unit.

Japan pushes hard with a tank unit in the north of China but I manage to cut it off... now if rain can stay I can keep it in trouble for a while, another unit gets partially cut off but not out of supply.

The kaboom is going to come from the Allies :D .

Colin is doing good his first go, so far he has made one constant error that shall remain nameless until the end of the game =) .

  10. July 42, China looses units but I know Japan has allot of damaged units and this forces Japan to reinforce and keep pushing in China which limits other operations.

Still, China is slowly being chewed up by Japan's air power. At this rate of good weather China will go down fast.

    Communist China gets another army.

In Burma that one unit goes down to STR 5, this push is done with no air assistance... a few more months of rain and another kind of rain will fall on Burma... KABOOM! ;) .
