Hi, if I remove native Platton HQs and substitue them with other HQ's (like Company HQs) with better bonus will it have any adverse effect on the platoon?

Hi, I'm new to CMBB but a veteran of CMBO. In CMBB, arty without LOS falls in wild locations, way off mark (which is a good thing ). But can I actually get it to be somewhat more precise? I have read about retargeting etc, but they are quite time consuming. TRPs may also be an option. But is there any way to use arty without LOS efficiently? Any tips will be appreciated.

OK Jason and lazysack, should I try to hit the bunker with the PIAT from front. My PIAT can now get a target line to it with 4% hit chance. So I won't use it now. But can a PIAT actually take out an wooden MG bunker from front?

Though I am yet to play CMBB, it's the Eastern Front that defines the Second World War for me. Stalingrad, Kursk, Kharkov, Sevastopol, Leningrad, Moscow, Kirovograd, Tallinn, Kiev, Budapest, Warsaw, Berlin, Belgorod, Minsk, Orel, Novgorod, Cherkassy, Riga, Koenigsberg - these names, they aren't just battles. These are examples of how low greed and malice can take human beings and shows our proficiency in killing each other. It's grim, but it's true. It's WAR! There was, and probably never will be (at least for a long time) a theatre like the Eastern one. It's just an unbelievable story of human suffering (and human determination), heroicity (and cowerdice), cruelity and desperation. 26 million people - JUST IMAGINE! To me, West Front was a PICNIC compared to the Eastern Front (don't get offended, I'm just trying to emphasize) and that's why I play it (much lighter entertainment). It will take a lot of heart to play CMBB (especially when you've read about the eastern front battles - I have CMBB and still don't play it). I am not yet ready to reduce it to just tactical level battles. It was much more than that, a grim nightmare, no less. The sewers of Stalingrad, the 700,000 dead of Leningrad, the trenches of Kursk, the ice-cold river-crossing at Cherkassy - ... (it can't be expressed in language - just too horrible). One of my most favorite visual images of WW2 is the Don Cossacks cutting off the SS (Wiking) at Gniloi Tikich. Up and down the ravine they pursued the broken Germans, slashing and hacking, revenge for a ravaged land, raped wife and dead children! Can the Western Front provide ONE such emotional scene? Can it?

I have a wooden MG bunker ~170 m away which is being fired at by a platoon of British Aribrone and a Vickers MG. Is it possible that it would get knocked out this way?

Not yet Fredrock. Dramas still playing all over the battlefield.

Is it really 58000? I doubt. I heard something around the ramge of 51000-53000. Of course, the Korean War saw a lot more use of those.

Just need to make very sure - when I move through open ground, which move results in the LEAST casualty? Run certainly sux, move is too slow. So is sneak the best possible move? I guess it depends on situation. Pls let me know your advice.

Do spotters get any benefit from better HQs? Do they take less time, or more accuracy etc?

I am tired of seeing those olive or black allied tanks. I am looking for some jazzy, colorful Sherman mods. Any available? Failing that, point me to some VERY GOOD Sherman mods for CMBO pls.

I am not yet sure of the advantages of the two. The upper floor certainly gives you longer LOS, but the bottom floor supposedly exposes less. Which is the more advantageous for say, MGs, squads, HQs, snipers and AT teams?

Probably. The shop I went to had nearly exhausted it's collection of CMBO CDs, and oly one copy of CMBB was left (out of 10). Kohima scenario? Where is Kohima?

It has magnificent armor, though muzzle velocity is low, and also AT armor is scant. Is it wise to take these in QBs? Can they destroy bigger German tanks?

What was this tank used for? It has strange stats and such low range. I don't have ANY idea what to do with it. Anyone ever used this?

(Heh heh, 'Sherman Nation' is a quip from American Pie 2. Those who have seen the movie know it has nothing to do with the Sherman.) I thought that Russians produced more T-34s than the Allies produced Sherman during world war 2. However I recently saw a figure (in wikipedia.com perhaps) that 58,000 Shermans were produced and only 34,000+ T-34's. I heard they produced some 60,000+ T-34s. Does anyone here have any idea what the actual figures are?

Hi ppl, I have heard a lot of good things about this new wargame. Has anyone here tried it? Did you like it? Your opinions would be interesting to read.

I have both CMBB and CMBO and have been exclusively playing CMBO. I have the same problem as Dandelion and some other folks, I just can't yet stand the grimness of Eastern Front battles. The great empty steppes, the endless snows, the huge, reasonless slaughters - this is very depressing for me. Another and the MAIN reason I think I am playing CMBO exclusively now is that I have 8 PBEMs going and I am enjoying CMBO tremendously. It has not yet been a month since I bought this wonderful game and I still have a lot to play. I wonder if I would ever play CMBB or just jump directly to CMAK.
