  1. Rattler, tried to download but received 'a file not found on server' error. Other replay files no problem. Thanks for your efforts...
  2. okay, 'paln' all by yourself. and build any mega-scenario all by yourself! lets us all know in a year or 2 how it went
  3. While on the subject of FOW, how about terrain or weather dependent FOW. Ie winter months europe, poor weather conditions, grounded aircraft, lesser distance for viewing enemy. Atlantic shipping heavy seas and fog, little if any visibility. etc...
  4. I know this thread didn't start out about trashtalk; but hey Master G, can I suggest you take a bottle of valium or enroll into anger management classes. Lay off the emoticons, buy the game, and play the A.I. Then when you're up to the mark get onto curry's pbem list, there are plenty ready to teach you a lesson.
  5. Perhaps with a fog of war option turned on, forrest or mountain areas could have some form of 'scaling factor' that allows them to strike once or twice before being spotted
  6. Desert Dave, The idea of shorter movement to creep up on intended targets would be fine, just so long as the game did'nt have an end date. ie beyond 1945+ It would be good to know if SC2 wasn't limited by a must finish by date.
  7. Liam, when you suggest plotted path, is this in some kind of TACOPS sense where you can predetermine movement, potentially many turns in advance? I was thinking along the lines of point as you go. Is this just a case of semantics?
  8. The point is, if you want to do nothing than arrive at the destination point; then fine, just click to destination point and go. All I am asking for is the ability for taking a more circuitous path. I don't see this as a micromanagement issue.
  9. In SC1, single mouse click to the desired point of destination, and the unit took the most desirous path to that point. I am hoping that the movement dynamic in SC2 will be more akin to that of TOAW or Steel Panthers W.A.W, where the user is able to steer the unit along a chosen path, rather than having it already predetermined. any thoughts...
  10. This may have been covered already, but the 1st time I've noticed it... As axis my 1st move declared war against soviets, stormed past Poland and went deep into Russia. I then used a secondary wave to mop up Poland. When Poland later surrendered, my Eastern advance was booted back when, Russia annexed East polish flank as usual. Has this glitch been discussed?
  11. Here is a little leap of faith. Obviously everyone on this forum is going to purchase SC2 as soon as it becomes available. So Battlefront, why not post up the unit bitmaps so all the 'mod-heads' can start setting up units for... 1. WW1 scenario's 2. Nato contemporary scenarios 3. WW2 symbols sets, instead of minatures. etc. go on...
  12. I've had the game a little over 72 hours, I'm hooked. Count me in (if not too late). Only hope I'm not just round 1 cannon fodder!
