  1. WOMG WE CAN'T HAVE RANDOM MAPS ANYMORE, OMG AND OH MY GODS! But think of the things YOU WILL get instead. MUCH more complex maps with dynamic objectives and several different AI plans! So, let's see here, you are whining about the loss of random maps vs more complex and dynamic maps? Now don't get me wrong, random maps are great. Hopefully we'll see a generator in the future. But for now, just enjoy the vastly superior maps 'n missions that are handcrafted to be a blast!
  2. I think I've read something about that they'll start working on it either after or during the first Marine module to CM:SF.
  3. Terry Scott, a young archaeology professor, seeks Nancy's help in unearthing a secret of antiquity which can only be unlocked by three black keys. While on an archaeological expedition in Mexico, Terry and Dr. Joshua Pitt came across on a stone tablet. Before the professors had time to translate the cipher, the tablet disappeared-and with it Dr. Pitt! Terry tells Nancy of his suspicions of the Tinos, a Mexican couple posing as scientists, who vanished the same night as Dr. Pitt. The young detective is plunged into an adventure that demands all her ingenuity and bravery as she and her friends follow a tangled trail of clues that lead to the Florida Keys and finally to Mexico.
  4. The thing I think Steve was gunning at was that they can't go "BOOOM HEADSHOT ULTRA-RTS GRAPHICS" and so on. You can't expect that kind of visual and epic quality from them. But what you CAN expect is a complex and awesome wargame. Damnit, I for one cannot wait. I'm sure this game will be awesome. Oh, personal story time! When I first tried CM I totally went... Oh lord, the graphics. But MIND YOU, even that first time, watching the infantry engage some others, watching the replay and reactions. I got hooked. On just such a minor thing that wasn't even close to the big tank fest and awesome tactical experience that you could get. Sometimes it is so darned refreshing to have soldiers that act like soldiers and not terminators with fixed amount of HP that will just stand there gunning, hitting every round and eventually fly in the the air and stuff. Meh, I even remember playing the horrible G.I. Combat and enjoying it. Just because they tried to take Close combat into 3D. To me, CM:SF is shaping up to become one of the best wargames ever. Unique and interesting engagements. Interesting StratAi that is different for each map and objectives that vary between the 2 forces. Man, I don't think people realise how brilliant this game could be. That is if it works.
