Same way with American tankers. TC can also send out the loader with binoculars to crawl up the crest of a hill and scout out ahead. This feature is not yet in CMSFOriginally posted by Chainsaw:I dont know how it works in the dessert, but here in woody sweden we are teached (and practice) to have the tank turret down and the TC standing on the turret roof with binos, still attached with hes helmet scanning for enemys, so only thing aproaching enemy see is a head, wich isnt THAT big on average engagement distances compared to parts of a tank.
but dont know how that works in the desert thoe.

The quality of AI in-game depends on the scenario designer. Crappy designer - crappy AI

Thank you Martin

2 of my buddies died there. One was a driver, another gunner. I think their tank got hit with IED

How about you start a new thread on ethical dilemmas in the general discussion and talk about it there?
-
Cant wait to see some scenarios you guys make utilizing my mod

This thread is getting way off course.

How soon are we getting the website?

Just use guns from CMSF 1.0 to punch holes in his jar. Then can shoot through concrete walls and berms in game, I am sure they can handle his jar as well

Each Abrams tank round costs around $2000

Wow, great detail, BFC!

I agree that the more smooth and user-friendly UI is, the more enjoyable the game experience is. Of course you have to balance it with a number of options you have to control the game enviroment.
Some games do it better then others. Feedback to the player is important. More hotkeys=simulator= more difficult to pick up and play.
I personally prefer controling as much as possible on screen with a mouse. CM1 games did it very well, and adjusting to CMSF was difficult. There was about as much micromanagement as before, with a more difficult control scheme (until return of the pop-up menu)
Its a little better, but I wish I can direct infantry a little more. Some type of formation control would be great, unless you get the tacAI to the point they can do it themselves
I also miss ability (you might say micromanagement) to fire main weapon (main tank gun,AT missile) and small arms. That was a great feature

CM: WW2 game for American market

Notice the rocket fins sticking out through the wood - I think that was fixed in 1.08. Seems like you need to patch
-
Just pause your other soldiers next to them for a minute or so. They should automatically start first aid, and some wounded soldiers become green again

Always happy to help a friendly modder.

Sometime in 2008

Yeah, its perfect time to get it. I dont think it will be cheaper then $7 any time soon. The AI is a lot better now, and we got Marines with 1.10 patch coming out soon

Can you imagine how long it took me to sort it out, replace appropriate Syrian voices with Russian, and rename them? It was a lot of work

Or groggy hardcore relatives?

Steve
it seems like you read this thread, so I need to ask you - will aircraft sounds be added to CMSF? Is that on the list? What about Arty Smoke?

Yes, I dont have a list of any other CMBB WAVs. Sorry. I am sure someone out there can help out

According to BFC, users will never be able to add user-made models or change code in CM product line. All we can do is mod textures/sounds
