  1. I was wondering which WWII related books everyone reads when they're not playing CM. I just bought Achtung-Panzer! Which reveals Heinz Gudarian's thoughts and theories on armored warfare and motorized land battle. It's very interesting to read and it gives you that bit extra when you're playing CM.
  2. I believe it depends on your interests. I've only got CMBO because I'm more interested in te Western front. I have played the CMBB demo, but it's not my thing.
  3. I have a P4 1.7 with a Geforce 2MX, Battlefield 1942 doesn't run great (it's the old Geforce)
  4. True, you should never send in your HT's without any support (preferably some infantery). And keep them as far away from any armour as possible, it's not funny to see three of your HT's go up in flames by the hand of one conscript Lynx, believe me
  5. There's a difference between German halftracks and Allied. Where I seldom buy US halftracks, I tend to buy quite a number of German halftracks, with some nice 20MM or 75MM for the much needed close support. However, they do need to be looked after quite carefully.I always seem to loose about 75% of them
  6. I just finished a game (against AI) with full fog of war. During the game one of my snipers made contact with a tank, it showed 'Tiger?'. But after the battle the enemy didn't have any Tigers on battlefield ( knocked out or still alive ). I wonder if this is a feature of the game, soldiers thinking they saw a Tiger but it was in fact, a Panzer IV.
  7. Well, I've seen rounds go straight throug the tank and exploding on the ground under it, the tank wasn't even damaged. Designer flaw ?
  8. Tracks were indeed the weakest part of the Panther and Tiger Tanks. But it isn't possible to target just the tracks, is it ?
  9. I'm playing CMBO for a few weeks now, and I'm wondering which mods are a 'must have', there are so many! thanks.
  10. I don't think I ever bought a flame tank, it's just to expensive and it needs to get pretty close to it's target ( how do you sneak with a tank that size ) before it can release it's inferno.
  11. I agree. But in night battles or snow blizzards it's harder to tell
  12. Would be very nice to have kilts in the game. 'What's that Heinz ? I can hear bagpipes. Damn scottish again, turn the turret!'
  13. Believe me it's possible! I recall a TCP/IP battle against a friend of mine and he managed to take out 2 Tigers and a Panther with a zook. A never saw the damn thing, I thougt he was shelling me from a distance
