So is this all an scheme to allow Terif to get the copy first???? -
I repeat: taking France ---> a walk in the park. That readiness bonus helps germany a lot, and hurts allies a lot. With this new % penalties when "DoWing" minors, allies cant DOW like in SC1, gee, see what happens even if u DOW Ireland... so it helps Germany a lot. U reduce plunder but u implement this new rule..., well im gonna be DOWing minors all the time and playing with diplomacy to counter effects.

Hey, we all know taking Paris was a piece of cake in WWII but this is game and a possible axis stop in Paris should be possible. With this bonus readiness thingy taking France is a joke...I want a possiblity to stop a bad axis commander in France. Gee, with this new rule even Kuni could take Paris... At least, a toggle on/off option is needed here.

Hey what happened with SC1 land explotation moves? Advanced SC strategy permited to advance troops farther away by killing troops avoiding that way the penalty when moving between 2 enemy troops. This is not working in SC2 or thats what i saw in France. How&when does the program calculate moves in the turn?

First impressions
Codename Condor replied to Kuniworth's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
oh yes, understood, im still readin the manual and its pretty clear there. Weather effects based on unit start tile "generally". But what happens if AF attacks from a CLEAR tile to a MUD tile? no penalties? -
First impressions

For the first impressions, the game looks great and its really cool to see its reminds SC a lot. i dont see why any old SC player wouldnt like this game (apart from those hexes lovers...) The atack-move sequence its very nice and in my opinion makes the subs a mighty weapon. Battle for the atlantic looks very possible. Weather is great, of course, but i dont see why the AF on denmark cant reach to attack Norway because of the mud. i dont think mud should effect planes range. The interation with the game , buttoms and controls, feels right. Fast&easy. Im still waiting for the complete game to give a more substancial view but the demo has just convinced me enough (not that i had any doubts hehe). On the other hand, I think the retreat option woulda been a great addition to the game. -

Thx for the input Jersey, but i dont really believe german generals woulda wanted to cross the spanish border, u know, 39', by that time almost everybody in Spain had a rifle and about 3 years of experience shooting... not bottles precisely.
