Silly Euro, the indians were put in their place well before 1939-45. By WWII, they were happily living on their little reservations.

As for the "African Americans", that issue was settled (for the most part) during our Civil War. You see, during the Civil War, the President of the US (Union / Northern States) freed the slaves. The issue was finally setteled when the North gloriously defeated the misled Southerners, and the slaves in the South were freed.

Now of course, there was some racial tension for the next 100 years. But a very large majority of Americans frowned on "chasing down "people of color"".

And that concludes our history lesson for today. Tomarrow we will talk about how America decisively defeated the imperalist British during the "War of 1812". ;)

Attacking a captial city is no diffrient than attacking any other position (although, captial cities allow higher entrenchment).

Based on your description, this is probably whats happening:

    1) The Russian corps is fully or at least partially entrenched and thus, harder to inflict damage to until you reduce it's entrenhment (which happens automatically everytime you attack).

    and/or

    2) Your ground and air units lack HQ support, which will greatly reduce their effectiveness.

Regardless, even with the Russian corps fully entrenched and lack of HQ support for your units, you should still have no problem taking the city within a few turns, as long as you completely surround the city (as the defending unit will have poor supply and be limited in it's ability to reinforce).

As for the goverment escaping to the Urals, its pretty realistic since the Russian goverment would have already escaped before the captial was competely surrounded.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Much like Jersey in strengths and weakness.

    Weaknesses

    * Too cautious, often don't take advantage of favorable situations.

    * Predictable at times. Most top players know which moves I refuse to do (LC gambit as an example) and act accordingly.

    * Terriable at managing the German Military and thus, a terriable Axis player.

    * (related to 2) There are some moves that I refuse to do. And since I haven't used them in years, probably couldn't pull them off sucessfully if I wanted to.

    Strengths

    * Good at managing Allied forces.

    * Good at using UK / US forces in offensive operations.

    * Constantly changing my overall strategy. Making some big changes currently after playing Kuni in a tourney game.

Overall, I'm not a great player by any means.

But I have beaten top players in the past because they knew this and thus, got overconfident and overly aggressive.

I wanted to bid for Allies instead of the Axis since we both wanted the Allies, not the other way around.

All the rules say on bidding is that the 1:5:30 bid system had to be used, which I had no problem with. It did not say however that we had to bid on the Axis. What I proposed was no less fair than if we were bidding on Axis.

I really don't your problem with this, considering I gave him the win.

If you still have a problem with this and want me to withdraw for the tourney, just say so and I will.

  6. Korut Zelva wins against Comrade Trapp by default win.

If you want to know why:

    2) Refuse and I'll give you a default win, since techinaclly your in the right. But if anyone asks, I will tell them why it is a defualt win.

Regardless of what you choose, you can't cry about it being "unfair". The choice is yours.

That about sums it up, it was his choice. He took option number 2, both options were completely fair.

You be the judge, but regardless, I stand by my arguement.

  7. Sorry guys, been real busy these past 2 weeks (new job, new car), haven't had much free time.

I know it looks like I've been intentally avoiding you, but I assure you that isn't the case. I'll try to set aside some SC time later this week (or possiblely this weekend), but I can't promise anything right now.

P.S. By email address is no longer active, in fact, I had to reformat my computer so neither is my ICQ. I'll post the new ones when I create them.
