Never, having the interest to play combat mission: shock force, but loved the original games (CMBO, CMAK, and CMBB) and having an interest in all things concerning WW2 gaming, will there be a demo of CM:N(?) prior to, or on its release?

Opposite way to start position on set-up.
Beware of quick battle maps where your troops are facing away towards map edge... your flee towards the enemy!

Thats certainly not dull.. but will not appeal much to the masses.
I sure BFC will not produce a dull game either... but it content may still not appeal to the masses, I like many will await the demo.
More interested in the Napoleonic game ... now that is getting me excited, and I will pre-order.

You could start your map off with checkered set up squares, if it works, but I always thought the new troops should enter via the old set up zones anyway?

Don,t post often, but like many.. additive to the CM 1st series.
Wanted a CM pack on the invasion of the West 1939-1941 period. Disappointed this was not tobe.
Cannot get excited about CM2 as the subject matter is I surpose not histroic enough. That and the press and media reports concerning modern conflict, and the lack of a conclusion to the Iraq war, really makes this period sad...
In addition although I sure there are many heros out there, this period will be remembered more for the suicide bomber and the stone throwers..
not for the hardware.

CMx2 engine mentioned, but guess what, said about as much as we know, with the exception it will roll out in January, and the first game will be a base game and the following will be modules... but I think he could have been guessing... and maybe WWII!

Wonder how people would feel like if the fog of war, was to included your own platoons etc that are suddenly out of contact with there immediate commander, radios out, out sight, and the AI took over, you losing there visual aspects on the map...and them following pre arrange paths.
Would add some fun to large flanking moves, and cut back on borg spotting!

Snap... computer crashed twice in eight weeks, just down loaded my favorite mods and down it went again.
I know this made be viewed as a poor suggestion, and I have no knowledge in this area, but would it not be great to have a disk for all these mods.
I would be happy to part with some funds for it, within reason and a little extra, for a worthy cause.
However got a feeling this may open a can of worms and issues I am not aware of!
Will be saving my favorites to disk, this time round..

I am quite certain that Nuzrak, Insanecbain, Surlyben and Nelson1812 all contributed to that map, so we would all like a mention...
Besides making them all feel pucker.. they will then all contribute to the next map challenge in round six!!!

If you finnished a game, save the file and then import troops, and there is nothing except debry ie Knocked out bunkers and burning wrecks.. how much does the old game count on points in the new game.
How does it effect the new game play if any with imported troops...
Version 2 upgraded fords issue
in CM Normandy Maps and Mods

Just to mention that they maybe issues with some fords on version 1.10 upgraded to version 2.00.
Armour cannot cross, appears to be an easy fix, as mud and marshes surround the track or road causes problem, just a matter of changing these tiles to dirt, grass etc.
Anybody else notice this... maybe wrong, but don't think so.
