It sounds good, to my opinion.

I did have a close look at Peiper's Bridge at Kharkov and it is a masterpiece. The map is incredible. This is going to be fun!
-
Nice one, Navy, thank you. I especially like the weapon shield of the 26th Panzer. Nice detail. Keep them coming.

Definitely the greatest commander at sea!Originally posted by Erik Springelkamp:And at sea Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruijter successfully fought the combined French and Brittish fleets.
He established the tactics of large scale fighting in line that would dominate the sea-battles untill well after Napoleon.

Oranje boven, Erik!Originally posted by Erik Springelkamp:When we come down to 'decent' I would like to add Maurits of Oranje-Nassau and his brother Willem Frederik, for their 'scientific' operations and the first steps towards the introduction of fire-based linear infantry tactics, resulting in the establishment of a stable new republic in Europe.
Actually, after reading 'The Great Siege, Malta 1565', by Ernle Bradford, my choice for greatest commander would be Grand Master Jean Parisot De La Valetta of the order of St. John, whose gallant defence of Malta prevented a Turkish invasion of Sicily and Italy and possibly even Turkish domination of Western Europe.

George, I do not expect anything else than a superb scenario/operation from you and Charlie...they are getting better and better. Thank you so much for giving us this great series and all your other excellent scenarios.
-
Looks brilliant indeed. I'm in a greedy mood now...
-
Very interesting pictures among them, George. Thanks!
-
Small matter, David. This mod is simply smashing. Small details perhaps, but they make me enjoy the GD scenarios even more. Thanks for you time, it must be pretty horrible to change all those numbers!

David, shouldn't BMP 9175 be BMP 9157?
-
Very nice, David. It looks great! Thank you.
-
Superb, David, thank you very much! I appreciate it. I will check it first thing tomorrow morning. It will give all the GD scenarios something special.
-
David, the uniforms shown on that screenshot would be great. That is exactly what I had in mind. I don't mind so much about the Panzer crew, but to have those uniforms for the GD Panzergrenadiere would be excellent. I agree fully with you and Michael. They look very cool.
-
Is there a uniform mod available for Grossdeutschland panzergrenadiere, panzercrew and other members of the GD division, late war (1944-45)somewhere? Or is anybody working on such a mod perhaps? It would be great to have it, since some superb GD scenarios have turned up recently. I know there is a great early war GD infantry/panzer crew mod by Michael Dorosh available, but no late war mod (including winter uniforms etc.), as far as I know.

Yes, you have my attention too.
-
Very nice, Navy, thanks!
-
Never mind, David, I found it.

David, at CMMODS you mention in the description of your excellent Lynx Winter White for CMAK that it is based upon Paul "Makjager" McMahon's excellent CMBB Lynx in winter white, which can be found at CMHQ/CMMOS. However, I can't find it. Can you please tell me where exactly it can be found?
-
O yes...I've installed it, Mikey and it's there to stay. Marvellous!
-
Well, I wouldn't waste my time on it. Not with a much better game like CM around. Last time I had a look at SA it was full of bugs.
-
Can't touch Combat Mission. Graphics of Squad Assault are reasonable, rest is pretty hopeless.
-
I've posted some comments on the Proving Grounds ,George. I did enjoy this battle very much. I was pleasantly surprised by the toughness of my Hetzers and unpleasantly surprised by T-34/85's turning up out of the blue. Victory was mine, with full FOW, Computer Experience Bonus +2 and Play Balance Allied +50%, but my nerves will never be the same again.
Your briefing is, as always, superb and very informative. Thank you!
-
I found them David, must have overlooked it. Hard to keep up with you Great stuff. Thanks and keep up the good work.
-
If you ever happened to have the time, I would appreciate a 251/9 in the darker version, David. Until that time this one will do very nicely though. I've installed all your winter mods now (after some hesitation, because the old winter mods looked suddenly rather poor next to yours) and I enjoy them a lot.

Yes, very nice, Navy, you most certainly have a skill to mod.
