your nvidia drivers need updating. Documentation recomnends 29,42 but I think they are on 30.xx now. I installed 29.42 and everything went fine

1 cray was a supercomputer in 80 - 90s Dont know if they are still cutting edge - think HAL9000 and you get the idea. Have you played CMBB much yet. While I have never played CMBO I have read a lot of AAR's and if you employed the same tactics used there you would have been cut to pieces. Many of the changes on CMBB are ' under the bonnet' (US = hood) in terms of accuracy and AI.

I've had this problem in a QB, my Panthers just couldn't deal with them. It seems that once the Finns get Racoons - even in 1942 type they become 'uber' You could try not leaving food out.

As a northerner can I just clarify that we are not communists. Where do I get the tablets that would let me begin my journey to Peng? Should I take the blue pill, the red pill or the little black square one with white dots. I have 20Mb free on my account. I suspect that most/every internet user has a similar amount now. I would be quite willing to have a mod there - say a 5Mb one. Now if this was a new mod there would be a stampede for it so my suggestion is this. Could we not have a list of say 10 people who would host each new new mod. A central listing would change the URL every 4 hours or so to a different source to prevent a bandwidth hammering. That means the rush for the 'new' uberMod would be spread. The next new Mod would be distributed via a different 10 people. I realise that someone is going to have a hell of a time keeping all the links/code up to scratch but people in general are more comfortable with web browsers than P2P software.

OK, if you have the CDV (European) version, the tutorial stuff is buried deep in the adobe manual. Things to play first are Iron Roadblock as allied Jaegermeister as allied. If you are following the tutorial for Jaegermeister please note that it has its left and right quite confused. After that I have continued to stick with <1000 pt small battles and played Hill 312 next, again as allies. It took me some time to correctly coordinate my infantry but I feel I am getting a handle on that now. Much of the tactical / tip info here refers to CMBO which apparently is of little use to CMBB players due to CMBB's greater realism but the forums do have good advice. Im about 4 days ahead of you in terms of experience and the initial OMG what do I do now is starting to wear off.

Finally a question I can answer, Star Trek II features the Kobayashi Maru - its a training exercise that only 1 person ever beat - and he cheated (it was Kirk) designed to test response to failure. I've just drawn Hill 312 so Im getting somewhere with this game - my prior tactic games involved plastic figures, golf balls and my back garden.

I also get the xxxx message - I did not install in the default directory so I assumed it was this. Rather than clicking on the shortcut (which works for me btw) what happens when you go ito the cmbb folder and run the .exe itself? For those that havent played stick with it. It happens in full screen windows - like the scenario choice and in the map editor, it looks like the text is being overwritten by previous text. For instance, when changing the height, the editor tells you your present height, when you change it the number becomes unreadable. It makes it quite hard to work with and I pick scenarios at random rather than by reading. AMD 1200, Windows XP, GeForce 3 Ti200, Asus 266V, 512 Mb Ram.
