  1. So it seems like armor is considerably more useful and commonly used in CM2.... However, in reality the relative inexpensiveness of ATG's meant there were A LOT more of them in static defenses in actual warfare. I don't know if the way they're modeled or their relative costs being off, but I find that they are not cheap enough (or armor isn't expensive enough) to warrant their purchase given their massive differences in flexibility in game.

    Thoughts?

  2. I'd much rather have Steve comment on the current ROADMAP...

LOL!!! I know! He's finally active on the forums on a minute by minute basis defending the honor of the companies programming and QA but still mute on what 99% of us actually care about...

Stop pandering to the tightass, whiny 1%!

We are the 99% and we want some Road Map details!! :)

  3. Many of these youtube video's are worthless from a perspective of learning the game. The brief ones and the ones with no recorded audio specifically.

What CM needs is a good let's Play style video AAR. Where someone has recorded not only the game turn replays but the setup of each turn. In addition, discussing strategy, reasoning, etc as it is done. There are thousands if not millions of excellent examples of this with other games on youtube. Some of my favorites being exhaustively done for Europa Universalis III, Hearts of Iron, and Crusader Kinds II.

These are excellent ways to learn the game, get strategy insight, and marketing tools. I think BFC should consider commissioning some of the grognards here to do a small series. Hugely informative when done well.

However, they are time consuming to do, require video editing skills to be done well, and are really a labor of love...
